special discretion for the time being

I hope that even if you were drunk you'd no be abusive :)

I can't speak for other mods/webamasters, but personally
unless you pulled off something like Rephlexual and JAroen
did earlier I'd only give you a temp ban. Hopefully if you
were that drunk, PHP hacking might be a little too
complex ;)

He he, I'm a happy drunk too. I very rarely post on the

ceri: i hate to say it, cuz i think it's a no-brainer, but
things are just getting kinda tired waiting for the site.
people have resorted to stupid entertainment. yeah, they
could go somewhere else, but i think the general idea of
this place and the sometimes like-mindedness keeps people
coming back (some never leaving). plus, the whole political
situation in the world has peeps kinda adrenalined-out...
ah, this too shall pass.

Ceri I tend to think that it was a bit of a smear campaign
on behalf of pantalaimon mainly as soon as discussion was
done here and on other threads in his own words he wanted to
"put an end to the war threads" as it was a music
messageboard and then proceeded to post his opinions on the
same thread he attempted to get flea banned on and then he
attacked me attempting to get a rise out of me. If anything
there is your problem right there, is that he was seeking to
suppress such topics on the board at the expense of
discussion on these issues which affect many of the board
members who may take it personally. While it suited him to
express his agreement with danbrusa (sp?) on the prowar
issue he tried to shut us both down by stirring and
attempting slander. I think that that is unjust and my
reason for standing on this issue

I know that there was a lot of insults flying back and forth
on those threads, one of the reasons I asked for it to be
kept to them was so that there wouldn't be large numbers of
threads with slagging matches- just one or two.

One thing no one seems to of noticed is that I said "no war
threads", not no anti-war threads. If someone starts a
thread saying, "Ha ha Iraq are fucked" I'd close that too.

Don't worry re: banning. I wouldn't ban someone just because
someone asked me to. When in the past I've banned someone at
another person's request it has actually been because that
request has drawn the user in questions actions to my
attention.

Perhaps a nicer way of asking would be, "Ceri, have you seen
what is going on over on thread x?" I get a few emails like
this and I think it's the best way to do it. Asking me
publicly just asks for a backlash... as we've seen today :)

im leaving the board for awhile. ill come back when some
sense returns to things.

i have been quite personally offended. i dont expect anyone
to act a certain way, or have certain views just to please
me. if people arent very good, then they arent very good.
what can you do. i will peek in from time to time to see how
things are going. i have enough going on in my REAL life,
that i cant handle the insanity and downright evil attitudes
of some people. sorry if this sounds melodramatic. no doubt
some of you will take your cheap shots. i am a reasonable
and fair person, but my feelings are very hurt. some of you
are great people, and i think very highly of you. i will
miss you. but hopefully i will be back. have fun without
me.

Just a little bitch looking for attention, it'll be a

few days so I haven't been around much, but come on, settle
down... everyone think of a decent music related topic and

yeah, I was always thinking this, but it's just as ceri
said.
the MB has gone downhill again.
this place is meant to be a place where people can share
their music interests and stuff beyond that.

The crew will have a meeting soon where we'll discuss these
issues and seek for a way to solve this shit...

i don't think there's anything you can do about it. i think
it's just a matter of all the people who made conversations

mods are trying too much to close topics, whats wrong with
ppl arguing? whats wrong with topics about the war?

dont want this to become a facist community, gotta allow
people their freedom of speech.

I can see why people could be displeased with many topics
about the war, but sometimes u want to get people's
attention and the only way is to open a new topic. Lots of
people dont like reading topics that have more than 25
replies.

big nuissance.....
but i also believe that we have a right and a choice to clik
on a topic or not.
im not shure banning will always win....you cant really
control someone unless you get in their computer...wich
would be bad..
*if you dont like, ignore or say why*
but you always have that choice.

start banning the a-holes, temporary or otherwise, give them

do you think that everyone is actually here to talk about
music or to enjoy it here? no, they are here to run this
little joint downhill
