Can someone ID this song?

Ramalpha84 from New Zealand (www.mp3.com/aureus) on 2001-04-09 01:45 [#00002939]

I remember a song from when I was still living in South
Africa, it was about 7-8 years ago, and on TV there was this
music vid, it had footage of space shuttles and rockets
taking of, and had a guy playing a round (I think) key board
with light up keys. The song was probably some old
electronic song, I think it was a dance track of some sort,
it had quite a happy tune (which I can remember PERFECTLY)
and went up in octaves. I would really like to know who did
it and what it was called. Can anyone please help?

Thanx.

jean michel jarre... but, can't remeber
that i have seen any video of his with
space shuttles.... :)

I saw a Tortoise video with spaceships the other day, but
it's doesn't sound like the right song.

This is probably not the right song, but could it be "Les
Rhytmes Digitales - Hey you (what that sound?)" ?
I saw it on TV, like 5-6 years ago, memorized the name and
searched like hell for it... found a copy of the CD-S in the
biggest CD store in Sweden (Bengans in Gothenburg). Really
cool song, not as deep as the Aphex stuff, but still kind of
cool :)

aron, do you like tortoise? they're coming to vancouver,
toronto and such..the video you saw was 'seneca' (was it on
ru recieving?) their newest album is really great

Thanx spektr, I think it was Jean Michel Jarre. I listened
to some samples on Amazon.com, I think the song is
chronologie part 4. I don't remember that part of the tune
exactly, but it does sound familiar, and the tune I remember
probably is just another part of the song.

Ross, yeah Seneca was the video I saw, and yes it was on RU
Receiving, I love that show too bad it's only on once a
month...
I'd love to go and see them in Vancouver, but I was just
there like 2 months ago visiting my cousin, and I couldn't
possibly afford to go again this year, poor me...

Ramalpha84 from New Zealand (www.mp3.com/aureus) on 2001-04-10 08:10 [#00003025]

YES!!!! I found it!!!! It IS by Jean Michel Jarre and it's
called Forth Rendezvous. Chronologie 4 is good anyway. I
never knew old electronica could be this could, as I hate
Kraftwerk.
