I've read somewhere that Xtal contains (a) sample(s) from
some track by Cocteau Twin. Is true and if yes, from which
CT track is it?

i always thought it just sounded alot like cocteau twin...
but an actual sample? I don't know about that. I suppose if
he had used such a non-obscure sample, we would have already
known about it :-p It'd be in every aphex-trivia-list on the
web.

nah, not the cocteaus...just one of richs old mates
singing...with Aphex sampling the bit he liked...

(and it sounds NOTHING like the cocteaus....Liz Frazer,
yeah?...she's very disticitive. & it's def not her..)...

Xtal is one of his best tracks ever,I've listened to that
track like I can't remember how many times,and its never
crossed my mind that its a CT sample.

i'm probably one of the biggest cocteau twins fans on this
message board, and inside my demented mind i can sort of
recognize liz frazier's voice.

the duh-duh-duh-duh vocal thing in xtal sounds like frazier
to me, but it's most likely cut up and sampled from
different songs.

imo.
