Am I the only person who thinks Meg is, strangely, wierdly,
really hot? I mean, she's not exactly Brooke Burke is she?

the single is good.
the rest of the album i think is kinda crap... so far... i
have only given it one listen yet though so no firm opinions
yet.

it kind of sounds like they threw in their old songs and
called the album a different name and wanted to see if
anyone would notice.

Meg's alright.

I don't really care for their music, but I haven't yet
listend to "elephant". Perhaps my opinion will change.

no, i haven't missed the point i am fully cognizant of the
intrinsic value of the "straight-ahead-classic-rock-out"
style of their music... and understand why it is okay to
have a very, very, very simple beat... (i'm a huge fan of
tech step, and other 2 step off shoots of DnB)... all the
same i'll take the ever-challenging beats of a John McEntire
(the Sea and Cake, Tortoise, and other Chicago post rock
bands...) any day... and ultimately the feel good of the
tortoise flourish outways the white stripes flourish...
she's a real sid vicious-type, though (thank god he didn't
soil their studio album!)

i want to get this album!!!
strange enough it appears to be sold out overhere, but im
sure they're going to restock it sooner or later.

i only have two of their albums but im loving those two
enrenormously!!!

oh, and i only know their music for 3 or 4 days :)

i must get some of their videos too...are there any type
where they're playing in a video?

Good record, although I stand by my statement it doesn't
have much legs. I'm not really sure what you mean by the
video thing...

I think it is very unremarkable. Mind you the main riff from
seven nation army grabbed me for a week.

um, you know the video where they're playing
instruments...unlike some artsy like video that doesn't make
any sense

Heh, ok. I thought you might mean that :) Unfortunately no
official live videos for the singles were made, although
Black Math (live) was played incessently on MTV2 for months.
If you're not on P2P then you're outta luck, as there's
shedloads of live vids on Kazaa and Soulseek.

oo, im familiar with kazaa and slsk...i'll get right on it
as soon as i get home

this may appear weird, but how many musicians the usually
use?
is it just bass, guitar and drums?
anyway, can't wait to see them, if they put up a show
anywhere close to what their music sound like, it must be a
wild experience

Jack - Guitar/Vocals
Meg - Drums/Vocals

That's it. No bass. The live stuff I've seen is cool, they
mess around with the recorded versions quite a lot.

oh, i have to see them as soon as possible then...i thought
it's just the two of them in the studio and i imagined they
have a support musicians, well at least bass guitar. this
just makes it better tho, if just the two of them can play
this stuff (it's simple but totally powerful...) live...

White Stripes piss me off and I don't know why. I hate it
when that happens because I now pity them for me not liking
them.

work that out Dr Shrink
