Chrispy from UK on 2001-10-04 16:03 [#00038920]

What did everyone think of Moulin Rouge?

I think the Soundtrack was pretty cool! Ewan has got a
really good voice and David Bowies song was really good too!

transmission from Netherlands on 2001-10-04 16:42 [#00038937]

Fuck that song with Christina Aguilera...WHAT A FUCKING
SHIT!! WOOOOOW!

LrZ

Chrispy from UK on 2001-10-04 16:50 [#00038938]

Did you not see the film then?

psgen from united kingdom on 2001-10-04 17:02 [#00038940]

it's rubbish. i watched it recently on an aeroplane. a real
"chick flick".

Barrett, Syd from T Dot on 2001-10-04 17:13 [#00038941]

AAAARRRRRRGGGGGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

fuck. i want to see that movie quite badly but it never
played near me because of shit like tomb raider filling the
screens.

psgen from united kingdom on 2001-10-04 17:22 [#00038943]

i saw tomb raider. worst film this year... and final fantasy
isn't much either. i want to see AI.

Mat from Birmingham, UK on 2001-10-04 22:23 [#00038979]

i'm going to see it tomorrow... looks good.

has anyone seen battle royale? i really wanted to see it but
as usual there is nothing but shit on at the cinemas here in
birmingham!

oh and AI is well worth seeing

Chrispy from UK on 2001-10-05 09:03 [#00039034]

I disagree with Moulin Rouge being a chick flick. I cant see
any chick flick qualities about it at all. It made me laugh
intensly and was nice way of viewing the story. Besides,
when did a plane viewing ever do a film any justice? I didnt
like it on the plane I came home in on Tuesday!

I didnt think that Tomb Raider was very special and Final
Fantasy was very good. Shite loads better than Shriek.

AI had some pretty eerie parts, like when the kid was
walking in the woods with the mechanical bear, and when they
tortured the cyborg people, and when he sat under the sea
and directed all his hopes to a statue of a blue fairy. The
entire beginning is really long and stupid, and the
mentioned parts are better if you take them away from the
rest of the movie and make mini movies out of them. David
Bowie played the Goblin King in "labyrinth", a jim henson
movie... his music sucks mostly but he played a pretty good
goblin king, mostly for his ability to rotate 3 crystal
balls in his hand simultaneously and wave one back and forth
on his hand. Aphex Twin would have made a better goblin
king, undoubtedly though.

Chrispy from UK on 2001-10-05 09:15 [#00039036]

It wasnt actually him that did that ball thing.... Someone
had to stand behind him and do it {Mega difficult!
RESPECT!}

He did make a very good Goblin King!

"You remind me of the Babe"

Chrispy from UK on 2001-10-05 09:29 [#00039037]

Is anybody here?

Am I on my own?

Skeleton Cool on 2001-10-05 09:39 [#00039038]

I am having sex with the back of your head.

Chrispy from UK on 2001-10-05 09:42 [#00039039]

I took an Anadin for that too! What a waste.

psgen from united kingdom on 2001-10-05 09:57 [#00039040]

singing! dancing! love story! did nothing for me, fucking
chick flick.

Chrispy from UK on 2001-10-05 10:21 [#00039043]

Singing? Dancing? Love? These aren't chick things dude! All
three are also Male things. How can a woman have love if
there isnt a man in the picture {besides homosexuallity}?

People have different tastes so I can understand if you dont
like it. I believe you when you say it didnt do anything for
you though! It just wasnt your sort of thing, but it wasnt a
chick flick... understand that.

Sound Assassin from Patent Office UK on 2001-10-05 10:38 [#00039045]

Moulin was shite, even my missus thought it was shite!

All in all - it was shite!

Sylvester Stallone on 2001-10-05 10:40 [#00039046]

Gene Hackman on 2001-10-05 10:41 [#00039047]

That line is eternal.

Gene Hackman on 2001-10-05 10:42 [#00039048]

What was the part featuring "Smells Like Teen Spirit" like?

Chrispy from UK on 2001-10-05 10:44 [#00039050]

I thought it was funny! :(

Not really pops songs though are they.

Chrispy from UK on 2001-10-05 10:46 [#00039052]

I'm upset now. :(

Spose I was asking for it on the Aphex Twin Community
website.

Most of you seem to be tied down to paticular music tastes.

Chrispy from UK on 2001-10-05 10:48 [#00039054]

"even my missus thought it was shite!"

Dont think much of her then?

You're a good man Sound Assassin, I think we just disagree
on this subject.

Sound Assassin from Patent Office UK on 2001-10-05 10:48 [#00039055]

Not at all I listen to all sorts of stuff - but not Kidman
and Mcgregor singing pop songs by Madonna, Nirvana etc....

Sound Assassin from Patent Office UK on 2001-10-05 10:50 [#00039057]

Maybe I took that the wrong way, but don't insult my
missus!! She just doesn't like pap like Moulin Rouge.

Have fun

Chrispy from UK on 2001-10-05 10:50 [#00039058]

I said "most". It wasnt meant to be direct.

Soz

Chrispy from UK on 2001-10-05 10:53 [#00039059]

Shit! Sorry. I've just re-read what I wrote! I didnt think I
insulted her when I was writing it...

...damn I'm having a crap day. I hope you both accept my
apology.

Sound Assassin from Patent Office UK on 2001-10-05 10:54 [#00039060]

No worries Chrispy, I'll put me handbag away!

I just hate Hollywood blarzay pap that they keep churning
out. (It just a taste thing I guess).... Thats it for me on
this topic -

Have fun.

Michael Jordan on 2001-10-05 10:54 [#00039061]

I once put a panda in a meat shredder, then got a bottle and
cut it into a funnel and put the spiral end into Sound
Assasin's wife's anus and then I proceeded to pour panda
meat into he ass.

Sound Assassin from Patent Office UK on 2001-10-05 10:55 [#00039062]

One last post....DUDE, ITS FRIDAY!!!!!!!

Cheer up man!

Have fun

Chrispy from UK on 2001-10-05 10:56 [#00039063]

I dont think ANYONE expected him to say that... ...do you?

Sound Assassin from Patent Office UK on 2001-10-05 10:56 [#00039064]

Jordan - Well here they come - should have known mentioning
something like that would cuntz like you out of the
woodwork...

Have fun.

Chrispy from UK on 2001-10-05 10:58 [#00039065]

Yeay! Friday!

Sound Assassin from Patent Office UK on 2001-10-05 11:14 [#00039073]

Do you do your own music?

Chrispy from UK on 2001-10-05 11:15 [#00039074]

hmm... Fairly close then! Over the bridge!

Chrispy from UK on 2001-10-05 11:19 [#00039075]

Music 2000 {to its limit!} mostly Orbital style D&B, on the
PS but I dont have the money for all the good equipment. :(

I'm in the middle of MP3-erizing my songs and I'll put em on
a site so people can listen... They prolly wont though.

Do you do your own music then?

Sound Assassin from Patent Office UK on 2001-10-05 11:26 [#00039077]

Aye, yeah...

I'm a cunt with lots of expensive equipment in a
well-equipped home studio! (Only recently)(apologies) I used
to have fukk all money, But the Patent Office pays well, and
I make sure I spend it all!!

I have about 50 thjings going on at once!

Have fun.

I didn't know someone else did the crystal balls, they
didn't even mention that in the "behind the scenes" bit. Do
you know any other good movies with odd creatures?
labyrinth
wallace and grommit: grand day out (that token taking moon
robot)
dark crystal
never ending story
...
follow that bird?
...
I just bought ren and stimpy's 3 set videos... for 3 dollars
at a used book store. plus about 30 books for about 30
dollars.

red iv ider on 2001-10-06 12:41 [#00039207]

i can actually do the ball-waving thing quite well (it's
called the butterfly) - took loads of practice, but i'm a
juggler so it wasn't quite as bad.
i can't rotate the three in one hand though, that's much
harder.

re divid er on 2001-10-06 12:46 [#00039209]

ren & stimpy fucking ownz.

oh yea and the guy's name that did it in the movie is
Michael Moshen.

)mWmM)w...wMw...w(MmWm( on 2001-10-06 23:08 [#00039237]

I can juggle both 3 objects and 4 objects, not any more.
It's funny to juggle big things like soccer balls. I learned
how in the "klutz juggle book" or something. Juggling 4 just
alternates two in one hand and two in the other, never
changing hands.

redi vid er on 2001-10-07 05:11 [#00039278]

haha... yet another twist of fate. i also learned how to
juggle with the klutz book, and i can juggle three or four,
but no more.
you should check out "contact juggling". that's the shit
that deals with the butterfly and other cool tricks where
the ball never leaves your body.

)mWmM)w...wMw...w(MmWm( on 2001-10-07 07:46 [#00039293]

It's fun having a parallel me! Juggling 5 got pretty hard...
I don't know, I might check out contact juggling for fun
some time, then I could do some wicked goblin king tricks. I
read about "skills", how they're a coordinated series of
muscle movements and how they're stored somewhat differently
in the brain than other stuff. I learned how to ride a cheap
yard sale unicycle, I'm guessing you know how to ride one
too??
