There is some discussion about ebay, so I wonder what great deals people on this MB have done.

I once got Biosphere - Microgravity for a five quid. That was cool.
Also just won Orb - UForb in blue bag with postcards, for a tenner. I was happy with that..

I got my PDX2000 record decks, PMC270a mixer and Kaoss pad, unused Slipmats, A pair of Stanton 500 AL carts, Sennheiser canse and a pair of Stanton 505 carts all for £800. All in pretty mint condition for about £600 less than brand new.

None. eBay is lame in my opinion. The price always rises to ridiculous amounts on items I want. Even if it isn't rare, people are still willing to bid more than they could get it for in the shops.

Yeah, that often happens in real auctions too.
The fact it's nline adds an extra layer to insulate you from reality and further encourages people to bid more than they could really afford.
It wasn't till I got £800 out of a hole in the wall (over £400 of it in £20s and £10s) that I really realised what I was doing. I thought, "Fuck me, this is a lot of money..."

I take it "This is Hardcore" was the album not the single?
Really good album that, shame it didn't do as well as Different Class. "His and Hers" was another favourite of mine.

Not to mention that you have a lot more potential bidders on ebay since it is open to anyone with a computer and access to the web. In a real-life auction you actual have to be there, so there will probably not be quite so many people interested in the lot.

p.s. ive only bought about 5 items on ebay.com they usually go for more than what you could buy the cd in the store for, but those are probably buyers that dont have good record stores around them
