I got this on DVD last weekend but didn't get a chance to see it until Friday night with Lindsey. I was taken aback--wonderful film. I really loved how the movie actually feels boxed in because most of it takes place in the warehouse and what doesn't happen there, is inbetween the larger, on-going warehouse scene, so as a viewer, you don't feel like you get out--you kinda stick with Mr. Orange, which is truly a bold effect!
I just found it to be a really powerful film-- so many dynamic performances and a credible script.
Any thoughts?

Reservoir Dogs is intense--it's refreshing. In my opinion, since around 1998, movies kinda sank downhill. There have been several good ones, but most of what comes out isn't really for me. Sequels, dumb comedies, and all these marvel comics action character movies just don't appeal to me, so it's refreshing to find something like Reservoir Dogs that is really, really gripping and it sucks you in--fantastic picture!

it's a great film..........and it's a remake, isn't it? of a Hong-Kong film? So it makes it into two threads today!

Nope, not at all? There's information in a special content about that--Tarantino had a quote misinterpreted as he remade a hong kong film.
It's original--it's superb!

This is the best tarantino movie so far.
The movie purely relies on the power of dialogues, insanely intense.

Watching it again the only thing that doesn't really work for me is Tim Roth. Tarantino originally wanted James Woods for the role of Mr Orange (Woods' agent turned down the part five times without telling him; he was subsequently fired). Roth is a great actor but he's not believable in this movie imo, he's done far better.
Kietel is the man in this film. He's brilliant.

its not a remake but apparently it shares a lot of plot similarities with a film called city on fire, directed by ringo lam. the end scene is very similar aswell. reservoir dogs is still great though! im looking forward to seeing kill bill!

"Natural Born Killers" is the best Tarantino-written movie I've seen.
It is such a masterpiece, directed by Oliver Stone...
