I want to emulate the effect that was included in windows
95 that has the option of setting the screen "resolution"
and the "desktop area" as two seeperate things, enabling you
to have a screen resolution of 1280x1024 but be able to
scroll over an area of something ridicoulous like 6000x8000,

I don't think that was a default option. A lot of graphics
card manufacturers included this option as part of the
driver set.

I might be wrong though.

I'm fairly sure that it was included in windows 95, but was
excluded for 98, but, again, I could be wrong.
