I like hip-hop

What the hell is wrong with me, I've never liked any of
this stuff, and yet I just listened to a few tracks from Cex
(not thinking it was even hip-hop, I thought it was just
idm) and absolutely love it...all the rest is still crap
though ;)

Oh, haha, Cex, oh man, you crack me up..... I mean, nothing
wrong with Cex, but his take on hip-hop is really a comedy
one...

Haha, this board is still full of hip-hop hatas. Where's
Titsworth when you need him?

AE_King: I have no idea what kind of hip-hop you'd like...
Hip-Hop is as much a lifestyle, a social frame, a culture as
it is music... If you're just after catchy music, NERD
should float your boat. Or maybe, you should check out
Prefuse 73 and Antipop Consortium because they have obvious
linkage to IDM.

No probs. Bear in mind that it is a very demanding culture
as well. It needs a lot of investment from your side to get
the goods...........

I mean Hip-Hop is all about references, hidden meanings,
wordplay, quotes, that kind of stuff. You can appreciate a
kickass bassline and a house-rocking beat straight away but
to get to the real meanings of some songs, you need to get
yourself immersed in the culture...
