WooferAttack!!! on 2001-04-07 13:36 [#00002885]

I have read many opinions about free music on the web.

I think it's a great thing have the chance to know all the
music in the world with Napster, Audiogalaxy, Gnutella,
etc...

I live in Italy, and if there wasn't Napster I never have
the possibility to know all the marvellous infinity
electronic sound of RDJ.

In Italy it's really difficult to find something about AFX,
I found "WINDOWLICKER" and I bought it, but How Could I
listen other album like ANALOGUE BUBBLEBATH, UNIVERSAL
INDICATOR, BRADLEY STRIDER, CAUSTIC WINDOW COMPILATION, etc,
without MP3? In my country It would be impossible.

Greetings to xepha88, I found you on Napster and you have a
great user's list.

You might wanna try online shops:

www.amazon.com
www.cdnow.com
www.ebay.com

I haven't used ebay yet but they have second hand auctions.
You can find rare stuff there.

Stop downloading songs (unless it is ridiculously hard to
get, eg Hangable Autobulb) and buy the music!

try www.warprecords.com

they have a good going selection of cds and lps

reasonable prices too

if you order a lot, you have a chance to get free cd's,
records, etc

they are the best record shop dude

I enjoy napster. I bought many of my AFX stuff. but I
downloaded a lot of it. And Burnt Full albums from napster.
Im not going to pay for outragous shipping fees. I bought
Come To Viddy and the Windowlicker Videos... They are about
8 dollars each... when you ship it and such.. it was 50
dollars! thats overly priced.. so i ain't paying that shit
for shipping stuff. Fuck that.

I know amazon.com, cdnow.com, etc... but I know the shipping
fees, too...

I'm sorry, but I'm agree with REFLEX.

Have a good Sunday...

WooferAttack!!!: yeah man! for sure.. I mean its a total
fucking pain the the goddamn ass! Its just a rip off as well
for what record companies charge per cd. I mean i support
AFX a lot, i buy his stuff when i can. That kind of thing.
But im not going to go out and pay 35 dollars for something
I can download in less than 10 minutes [gotta love high
speed internet]. ITS NOT WORTH IT.

Ramalpha84 from New Zealand (www.mp3.com/aureus) on 2001-04-09 02:00 [#00002941]

Well, if I order something from amazon, it altogether only
costs 5 (new zealand) bucks more than getting it at a shop.
Unless it's pretty old, then it would probably be cheaper to
get it at the shop.

Oh, that's right, you can't buy good music from a local
music store. Ah well.

BTW my dad was telling me about this guy who bought a bike
for his kid off ebay. He asked the autioneer to send it by
air mail (which costs tons more than land mail) and he saved
more than half the price than if he bought it here. Just
shows you what a dungheap I live in.

REFLEX from Canada on 2001-04-09 03:05 [#00002943]

Well.. I had my experiance with ordering online. I mean sure
i got what I wanted and im happy. but, it did cost a pretty
penny [well... not penny]. So I conclude on my own terms,
that its just not worth it to order most things online.

Does anyone besides me think that what "reflex" is saying
sounds like a really pissed off afx? Reflex if you are a fan
of afx go out and buy his music. The more money afx thinks he
going to get off make. Maybe then if he sees more money to
be made, he will come out retirement and record another song
for you to BUY.

It's correct to support the artists, but I don't think they
haven't money because of Napster & Co.
