Just went out and tracked down CASH : AMERICAN IV. I went
out my search for this album because this early morning
during my daily feast of multi-grain cheerios i turned on
MTV2. Suddenly I was frozen in a glaze. Johnny cash was
really covering a NIN's song.
The song being Hurt.
I didn't know whether my mind was fucking with me from the
weed i had just smoked so I kept my eyes open and watched
this amazing video.

I then went up and listened to my copy of the downward
spiral and listened to the track(hurt).

it was really the fucking track and right now i am really
fucking listening to it.

anybody see this video, hear this cover?
anybody love reznor's sound?
any other covers of trent that I should give a gander?

i really liked the perfect drug video. trent looked really
wicked running through that hedge maze holding a dagger.

The new Johnny Cash album is AWESOME.

Highlights:

"Hurt"
"Bridge Over Troubled Water" featuring the O so sexy Fiona
Apple
"Personal Jesus"
"We'll Meet Again"

The album is the perfect package summing up his life and
death. Johnny has cancer and probably knows this is his last
album and it's so fucking sad/beautiful. It's on repeat as
we speak.

The albums before American IV are also good, like American
III he covers more great songs like "Won't Back Down" by Tom
Petty and "One" by U2. I hate U2 but Johnny's version is
great... showcases the lyrics.

johnny cash covering hurt is awesome!

if only he would have put in that big riff bang at the end
to top it off.....

i kinda dig the Devo remix of HLAH....

i wanna do a remix of "reptile" myself.
