Is it that nice big horizontal 19" mixer with the kaoss pad or the 10" vertical one? Either one is great...
Use the bass kill on the mixer and then up the volume a bit and then use the fx. Numbers 41, 29 and 14 are favourites of mine and sampler 53 is the best- try tracking from middle right to top left slowyl- lovely stuff :)
I need some bigger speakers although my current ones are about as noisy as I can get without irritating the neighbours ;)

I record most of my stuff to PC as wav. I don't go in for long running mixes (unless I'm playing out) but I'll give it a go and knock up a couple for you. I'll probably try to do a lot of lesser known stuff so you'll get to hear some new tunes too :)
With the Kaoss pad another good trick is to put it at around the centre, on "hold" on 31 while you scratch. Nice echoey/reverb scratches- works well on high pitched bits ;)

Have you got FX return volume slider on the mixer and also pre/post/off fx switches? You can get some nice effects by setting it to pre so that the only sound that plays out is from the fX or putting it to post so you get the original sound and then the return volume defines the volume being returned that is layered with the other sound. Nice for reverb or distortion...
