Anybody use this site? I find it quite depressing.

I'd rather listen to "Friends past reunited" by the
caretaker.

I don't use it. All the people I liked at school I stay in
touch with.

I find it depressing because so many of them have really
boring jobs, which probably allow them to buy their ford
fiesta and a mortgage on a flat and go out drinking on a
weekend - but that's it - I can just visualise their lives,
and it makes me depressed as hell.

He he, a lot of my compatriats either:

are about to leave uni and pantsing it now that they really
will be proper grown ups very shortly.

Doing some mickey mouse course under the misguided belief
that employers care about "community college" type courses.

Thinking of doing masters etc. to prolong studenthood.

Off the rails and in trouble for dealing/fighting etc.

Travelling around the world on mummy and daddy's money in a
never ending "gap year" (read massive dossing session in
exotic climes)

Making more money than most people could ever hope to earn,
working 6 months a year and laughing all the way to the bank
as teachers thought they were stupid and they left school at
16.

Okay, that last one is only one person, but it's still dead
funny.

Ugh, I just took a look at that website again. I too stay in
touch with all the people I liked at school, i.e. none.
However I had convinced myself that they all had crap jobs
and had done nothing with their lives. In fact most of them
have travelled the world and done rather more than I have.
*sob*.

Thanks for nothing marlowe.

Yeah, but how many of them are telling any truth? For all we
know, they're making up a bunch of crap to make themselves
feel important. Gotta watch out for those people.

There's maybe one person in all of my
elementary/junior-high/high-school/first two years of
college that I give a shit about, I couldn't care less about
what happened to any of the morons I went to school with. I
hoped for the worst for them and maybe I'll look at a site
someday to see who fucked up and who didn't see how accurate
my predictions were.

I just get depressed at the people who did some mickey mouse
degree and then proceed to flit from America to Greece to
Australia etc.

Still, at least I'm not stuck in my home town seeing "the
usual crowd" down the local for the rest of my life.
Giginger can probably back me up on this one.

I noticed some people registered anonymously just to slag me
off. I don't know what to think about that, but it's funny
that they have to remain nameless so they can get out some
petty grievance against me...stinks of bitterness

Nope, sorry. I'm in York now, and I can safely say it is an
improvement over the town where I went to school. How's
London shaping up for you?

Yes, I read an article about that- some woman claimed she
was an astro-physicist and then spelt "solar"
incorrectly...

I prefer a site (can't find the URL- it's at home) some past
pupils made up that slags off our members of staff and has a
guestbook area. Far better and more personal.

Oh London's great, but I miss York with all it's shell
suited council estate types, beautiful cathedral city
streets and the smell of Sugar Beet.. How's the weather
there? U know any one called Mel Carter?

Sugar Beet? All's I smell is chocolate from the Nestlé
factory.

Sorry, I don't know of anyone by that name.

He, yes there are a few council estate types. I'm amazed
they managed to get permission to build Hope Street and its
council estate-style flats within the city walls.

Is the Leveller's song "Hope Street" about that particular
area?
