I know we've got a lot of musicians on the board. So I was just wondering. What's the best distortion plug In out there? - Because I have yet to see one that sounds as good as some of my old pedals. |

BOSS DS2 Distortion Guitar Pedal is fairly reliable. Digitech DOD XMM Metal Master Distortion Guitar Effects Pedal is the one I use which is great,loads of tones ect.But like any pedal it has flaws. |

I could hook up the pedal, but I wouldn't have the envelope controll that I've grown to love from plugins. I guess there may just be no really good distortion plugs. - And I agree BOSS pedals rule. My Hyper fuzz has been a long time favorite! |

totally depends what kind of distorted sounds you want. For lo-fi I like the bit-crusher that comes with Logic but if yr not running Logic then hyperprism's sonic decimator can make things pretty lofi.. you can hear it (or something similar) in a fair bit of kid606s music |
