I know we've got a lot of musicians on the board. So I was
just wondering.

What's the best distortion plug In out there?

- Because I have yet to see one that sounds as good as some
of my old pedals.

BOSS DS2 Distortion Guitar Pedal is fairly reliable.
Digitech DOD XMM Metal Master Distortion Guitar Effects
Pedal is the one I use which is great, loads of tones ect.But
like any pedal it has flaws.

I could hook up the pedal, but I wouldn't have the envelope
controll that I've grown to love from plugins.

I guess there may just be no really good distortion plugs.

- And I agree BOSS pedals rule. My Hyper fuzz has been a
long time favorite!

totally depends what kind of distorted sounds you want. For
lo-fi I like the bit-crusher that comes with Logic but if yr
not running Logic then hyperprism's sonic decimator can make
things pretty lofi.. you can hear it (or something similar)
in a fair bit of kid606s music
