I want to hook up some a Technics 1200 Turntable to mah PC. Here are the ratings I had to find out:
The impedance range from the Aux in 2 input (RCA Jack) on the Audigy Drive is 47 kilo OHMS. The input voltage is 0 to 2 volts peak-to-peak or .707 rms
Will I have to get an impedance converter or will I have to turn the sound up more? Those converters are quite a chunk of change...

ok dont worry about the impedance. just do this: 1200->mixer->linein. the 1200 will produce a low voltage signal with a RIAA curve on it, in other words, less bass, more treble. it will sound messed up if you can hear it at all when directly plugged into the pc.
the mixer corrects the RIAA curve and amplifies the sound to LINE level, not PHONO (from the phonegraph-clever eh?). if you dont have a mixer with a phono input and lineout, you really shouldnt have/need 1200s at all. if you dont have a mixer, you can buy/build a RIAA equaliser+amp.
