newbie wanting to make music

n0thing from wherever on 2001-09-26 22:55 [#00036905]

hey, i was wondering if anyone here was into making music.
i\'ve got this shitty ass program, \"acid music\" and i was
really wanting to go further than this pos thing. if you
could recommend anything (keyboard, synthesizers, etc), i'd
be pleased. my taste in music is pretty much
industrial/jungle/noise, etc.

Buy Native Instruments Reaktor... It's a big wad of cash but
the most amazing software made today... it has a sampler,
drum machines, synths, and just plain noisemakers

you know anything about recording sounds and maybe importing
them??

Yeah, but with reaktor (or another more user friendly
program like Propellerheads' Reason and less deeply involved
in programming) you don't need to import sounds because they
are shipped with some great sounding synths and percussion
sounds, but of course you can load your own samples in.

Search www.appz.com and other warez sites for audio shit. i
use bio drummer, rebirth, fruity loops, and cool edit pro.
all of which can be easily downloaded so there is no money
spent.

korg sells a variety of synths you might want to look at.
easy to use (once you get the hang of it) and produces some
wicked sounds!

if you don't want to deal with hardware, you should buy
Reason. It's expensive, but definately worth it. If you want
to buy it, or download a demo, go to:
www.propellerheads.se (I think)
