now with all this draft 7:30 bababaa i have some to the
conclusion i really know too little ae. so i dug up my
chiastic slide which i always disliked and now i am trying
to get into it as well.. i must say it is not AS BAD as i
remembered it to be. i think it is a sign of music ear
evolution? in any case i feel like aes newer stuff can open
to me only several years after releasing :D

it kind of makes me feel all retarted. does it just mean i
am not ready for musical evolution? :)

When I switched to Ae, I thought 'damn, the shit is all
overrated', and only a year later I gave it a second try...
I liked some of the songs! Evolution does exist. Now I like
about 85% or even 90% of Autechre. The music reveals itself
with time.

dont worry neetta... if you like it great and if you dont
great too...there is lots of great music apart from ae

I love them though

Of course, but I'm sure tastes evolve and expand.

I think the best way to discover autechre is chronological.
But I still like best Amber and Incunabula. Classics in my
collection.

me too.. but they differ so much from the 'new ae' sound.

new ae has a worse 'noise to music' ratio...

I've listenend to chiastic slide and draft again having a
break every 4 tracks and I must say, there are more things
discovered that I like. Is it due to my attentionspan or the
music itself. It can only hold my attention for a while.

chiastic slide is sooooooooo goooooood! listen while
walking through the city, or waiting for the bus, or smoking
cannabis if you do that (duh).

Chiastic Slide is the most visual album I've ever heard, I'm
in an industrial city every time. Only Confield is better.

Ophecks: i know it! something very unique about that
album, very visual for me too.

experience.

The enthusiasm here about ae is so contagious that I'm on my
second day to find things I didn't heard before in those
albums. I've had a good dose of Tri Repetea and yet again,
discovered new things. Now LP 5 and Confield to go and some
EP's. I'm on a ae journey. ;)

the first time i heard autechre it was incunabula one year
ago.well i fell in love with them after hearing kalpol
introl.i think a lot of people don't understand autechre
because of their lack of musical culture.a lot of people
start listening to autechre after limp bizkit or NIN while i
listened to a lot of music before autechre.i know a lot of
bands you never heard of or care bands that changed my idea
of music like sonic youth, slint,us maple, don
caballero,tortoise,gastr del sol,flying luttenbachers,big
black and many many others.

Bands like that made me look and listen top music in a
completly new way. I´ve been listening to Sonic Youth since
i was thirteen. Growing up with music like that made it alot
easier for me to appreciate acts like Autechre.

Chiastic Slide is one of my favorite records...even a track
like Retic AC is beautifull to my ears.

changed the way i perceive music.
