This is basically what track gives you that nostalgic feeling of when you first heard it and were amazed..along those lines, personally Pancake lizard is probably my favorite track. just something about it, although girl/boy blew my socks off when i first heard it

my opinion bounces around for favorite song. "fingerbib" and "girl/boy song" off of richard d. james album and "corrugated tubing" and "lichen" (i'm not sure of the names) from SAW2 are usually the tracks i'll switch to first. it's hard to say, i think it depends on what sort of mood i'm in ...

it seems, with me, that when I listen to new aphex twin stuff I really like it, and the when I listen to it more I love it, but with autechre, I like it more the first couple of times I hear it, I don't get bored of the song, It just loses it's "don't know whats gonna happen next" feel about it, which is what I like about autechre, I only recently got one of their cd's (tri repetae) and it is absoloutely brilliant, (and if I wasn't a member here at aphextwin.nu I probably wouldn't have found out about autechre)
all I have to say is : thanx for the great music!!! :<))

The first time I heard Quixote off a trance mix I thought twice. And then three times even. I hadent heard this style of 'trance' before and it seemed slightly out of place. W/ its oscillating sound fx and a great melody behind it I was in love.
It wasnt until I heard Ventolin that I actually recognized Aphex for who he was. Next I heard ICBYD and after Polygon Window where I was once again reaquainted w/ the track Quixote. It was meant to be. Destiny had put me there in that time and space and it changed my life forever. Well, sorta.

hedtwin, I too love the equation song. It took me a few listens to learn it. But once I did I couldnt put the headphones down. For a similar style(tho Im sure you've heard it) check R Devines remix Come to Daddy. Same structure for the beat and the four part build up. What a mindfuq!
