Autechre, Aphex Twin, BoC, any of the great labels like
warp, schematic, merk, skam, ect ect...

It's quite strange; after being surrounded by people (my
friends, this message board) that listen to and dig this
type of music, you aren't really aware that the great
majority of music fans aren't even remotly aware of this
scene. It's odd because it becomes your entire life; an
autechre release is something you can't stop thinking about
and excepect everyone else you speak with to feel the same,
but the rest of the world is completely unaware. That's the
beauty of it really, the feeling that it doesn't matter.
The creativity is directly related to the fact that we are
ignored.

i know exactly how you feel.

thats why i attempt to get my friends into this type of
music. its only worked once, but that friend is as big a fan
of aphex, boc, squarepusher and everything else as i am.

Autechre.

I was talking to some friends at work and they said no-one
buys vinyl anymore. I asked them if they knew about warp or
autechre or any of them. Nah..never heard of em. You mention
electronic music and they start talking about how Scooter's
cover versions suck.

i was once into real trance stuff like, paul van dyke untill
gatecrasher and ministry came and fked it up and made it all

i just hope warp and all the other lables dont do the same.
if they every do i would have to stabb my eardrums with
cuetips, so that i can live peacfully in silence

aye, thats my point. as "idm" becomes more and more
mainstream it will become more "produced," thus straying
further from its roots which is more of an idea then
actually creating a genre.
