a) gantz graf and draft 7:30 appear to me as two releases made from one long recording process. all three GG tracks could as well have been released on D7:30 and would have fit in perfectly. b) a bit of a personal perspective: compering confield and D7:30, confield is more about effects / sounds and the newer work (GG AND D7:30) is more about arrangement. AEs "destructive" approach has changed: if confield still dealt with destruction of its own source material (such as "groove", "melody"), the GG / D7:30 work is no longer destructive to itself but to everything outside the AE-cosmos. |

pressed the enter-button by accident just before i was ready... my idea is: AE changed from a self-destructive approach (which dealt with comparing their own material with others and being "different", truning aggression against the outside against the own structure) on confield to a much softer, self-referential approach on GG and D7:30. is anyone able to understand what i want to say? would have sounded better in german... i hope you get the point. |

i haven't lsitened to it even once and i must say all this hyping and analysing makes me not even want to.. i think i just need to wait a year or 2 to buy it like i have done with everything else.. :) |

i do not get the "difference" between GG and D7:30. i think that everyone is corrupted by the "harshness" of the title track of the ep, but that´s just one detail in the whole record. by the way: to me, gg is one of AEs more "relaxed" releases. might have to do with that videoclip... |
