Anyone else spend their days on their computer just
participating in this melting pot of excitement? Or do some
of you have *shudder* jobs?

I actually tore myself away from my lusty laptop to sit in a
cafe, ate some soup, drank some coffee, read a few papers.

sophisticated, eh..?

I married the git

he tries to make music on Fruity Loops and yaks at the same
time while I crank up the stereo and have a stiff drink

"limping in the ballroom"

its kind of arbitrary we picked that one.

we're doing a project together - a kind of "chinese
whispers"-thing, I remix a track, he remixes the remix, I
remix that remix etc. etc - you dig?

as this was the last one he made, we decided to start there.
:P

yeah, I have some nice sounds already. kind of trying to
make my track a bit less edgy - flea's stuff is always full
of little edges.

but I don't know, we'll see.

I'll probably post it when its done. :)

yeah flea mentioned that too.

I think there also was a cd called "Chinese Whispers".

its fun to see how one track leads to the other. :)

Flea had basses too and I had rotating toms but our living
arrangements put paid to that, we sold them and he mainly
has to work with earphones on the PC cos of the screechy
neighbors :(

welcome to inner city Auckland apartment living... walls so
thin you can hear your neighbors farting..its rife here as
the slack City Council building codes.

I've got a schizo neighbour upstairs--when she isn't
blasting Alicia Keys full volume, she's banging on the
ceiling trying to get me to turn down my Cds--needless to
say I ignore her

I mix my stuff on headphones, which is not ideal, to say the
least.

can get quite funny when I have the chance to play it on a
good stereo (my stereo is kind of crappy..) - "WHAT THE HELL
IS THAT SOUND!? WHERE DID THAT COME FROM!!"

:D

When Flea does tranfer his music to CD it is louder than
ANYthing in our collection and we have to turn it all the
way down. :)

I had this week off from classes, just been lounging
about...

But really, even if I DIDN'T have the week off, that's what
I'd be doing. I skip more classes than I go to by quite a
wide margin, and I'm putting off essays till the last
minute... I'm fucked. Ugh, I remember when summer was such a
treat, now it just means it'll be time to work my ass off
for 8 hours a day rather than go to class for 2 hours (or
less) a day.

I spread my load over the semester and finished most of my
assignments early which meant my classmates would hassle me
to help them with their assignments...put in the effort and
you will get there as I dont think it makes much difference
if you put things off
