Does anyone have any experience with anti-depressants? I'm considering (have been prescribed but not entirely sure about it) using celcia (or whatever it's called - can't find the prescription right now) and would love to hear your experiences with this or similar druqks!

Yeah well I do and it ain't working (although the exercise part is somewhat lacking due to vast amounts of work - but I'll get back into it).

What kind of exercise do you do out of interest? I do a bit of jogging but I've been swamped in work so I haven't for a few months. Maybe that's the problem...

hmm - reading netta's thread - I'm quite worried about the whole flattening out of emotions thing. The one thing in my life that's keeping me going (although it may also be contributing to my state of depression somehow) is my current relationship. No way do I want anything to affect that negatively...

things like long walks, stretching, trampoline, weights, martial arts...I used to rollerblade when I was in the US, but where I am now is really shit for that...also, if you drink coffee, don't. :)

dont do it - i had a friend who sold medicines for a living he ws a drugs salesman and the doctors would get nice perks if the ybought his drugs ,,,,
it's a cometitive market out there. also 3 friends who were on anti depressants including an ex girlfriend were turned to mush on them .
you must try and understand your problems why and how - councelling light excercise and healthy eating, good friends clean living and time will heal it.

i am happy to help. i have noticed that talking to a far-away screen person is often easier and more reliefing as talking with close ones... i myself easily feel guilty if i show my sadness and bad feelings in real life.

Nah, DIY counselling--look in a mirror and talk to your self. Contact your subconscious through yoga and meditation, don't rely on a stranger.
*this advice isn't guaranteed to be useful*

I've tried some pills but they didn't effect me at all. Self analysis & talking is more effective. Dig in yourself, make connections between feelings and use the magic word 'Relativate'. It workes for me.
Its rather cynical when you think about it. Society earns big bucks on pills for a disease it created.

You don't need a counsellor for advice--I got through a rough period of panic attack hell simply by having one leaflet that explained it to me--after that, I took it into my own hands and dragged myself out.

Well I'm currently trying st. john's wort and I totally agree about Yoga. I used to do it once a week for a few hours when I lived in Southampton. Only problem is that the Yoga clubs here are all 'Geri Halliwell lost X pounds through yoga so can you'. Grrr. I guess I'll get a mat and do it at home instead...

It's an advantage of getting old topics above I didn't read before. I see you getting better in 20 minutes of reading. ;-)
Nice to hear you're doing fine now, try to keep it up. *hug*

I have a friend on anti-depressant, and he is quite strange when he is drunk. He says he feels like he can do everything when he is drinking, and are behaving kind of weird.
