Anti-Suicide Campaigner Commits Suicide

In a film about suicide prevention, 20 year old Jared Stait
told friends that suicide was not the answer. Jared was
especially aware of this since 4 of his friends had
committed suicide before he reached his senior year, another
2 friends also died.

Last Sunday Jared came home from a party, e-mailed his
girlfriend and then committed suicide by hanging himself.

Experts say that anyone who experiences multiple deaths in
the way Jared did stands a greater risk of committing
suicide.

"It can happen to anyone. There's nobody who is immune to
this," said Jared's mother. Jared's family believe he may
have suffered a bout of depression brought on by a night of
drinking which clouded his judgement.

Such a happy-go-lucky world this is.

suicide is never the answer
its so selfish, you not only hurt yourself but everyone who
knows you...

My father's best friend commited suicide a few years ago, it
about killed my father...

I think everyone has the right to commit suicide, plainly
because you are alive. you should have the choice to end
that.

it may be selfish, but thats kind of besides the point for
the suicidal person.

(and I have a brother who has committed suicide, which just
about destroyed both my parents.)

I see your point, but still I disagree qrter... I really
don't think suicide is the answer, things go bad and life
can really suck at times. Suicide should just never be an
option, I understand it in certain situations but usually I
think it is the weak way out. I mean no disrespect to you
qrter I just disagree
