Has anyone heard these? I picked up a promo CD of theirs real cheap the other day and now do I listen to it. Its lovely. Its hard to describe what it is exactly; genre-wise. Sounds like a small group of folk musicians. There's strings, classical guitars and paino in there with light percussion. Sounds like soundtrack to a nice European film.
Can anyone educate me?

Yeah its the brainchild of Simon Jeffes, they've been around for years!
Used a lot in films etc. Fits in with the whole Michael Nyman/Philip Glass type of thing. But very unique.

Yes they're very good. I've got MP3s of a couple of their releases. My dad's mate lent them to me after I played him some Steve Reich.
I'll check the titles of the releases tonight.
Thanks for the heads up on Ulrich Schauss by the way (in case you didn't get my email)/

Union Cafe and their self titled album are the two I have. I find it's nice ambience for an evening meal.
