Bonus High Frequency Sounds

Maytag on 2001-09-25 13:02 [#00036214]

Has anyone figured out if this is actually some sort of
viable binary data or is it just some electronic sounds
Richard put in for a laugh? Has anyone run it through that
sound spectrum program they used to find the face in A
Complex Equation? I just recently picked up the cd and I'm
curious what this stuff is. I've heard binary data before on
cds for computer games and it sounds like this so I'm
guessing it is actually some sort of small program. On a
side note, it's interesting that the two sound samples for
the two mixes that were posted on this site are at different
speeds than the tracks on the cd. The first track is slower
on the cd and the second is faster, than the posted samples.
Was this some intentional trick by Richard to make it only
possible for the vinyll single owners to hear the tracks on
the correct speed by varying their turntable speed?

Wouldn't it be cool if rich hid the programs he has
written/modified, but refuses to release as binary data on a
really well known track. So all these fans would be nagging
for a copy but would already have it?!

He probably has come to think of it ha ha ha.

Yes, but I have it from several sources (including this
site) that he has been writing his own programs for drukqs.

i looked at this song through a spectrum analyzer and found
nothing special. however, through an oscilloscope, it has a
very regular sine pattern. the note(s) used look to be
around 1600Hz F#, could be wrong on that thou.
