 | What an interesting movie. I just got back from seeing this with my uncle. I really liked this movie, a-lot. Wow. What a
great reprieve from the massive amount of shit movies being
thown out, usually telling the same fucking story over and
over and over. This movie was based off of Chuck Barris's
book about his life that he took two years to write, locked
up in a new york hotel room .... what a interesting person,
the creater of soo many tv shows, my favorite being the gong
show! He even wrote a hit song, a single that made it to
number three in the billboard charts. I bet Chuck and
Richard would get along well if they were stuck in a room
together, both being very reclusive creative people. I dont
think I am buying the CIA assasin bit, but you know, I have
heard of stranger things.. the movie does make you think.
George Clooney directed this film, WOW, excellenct
cinematography and visuals. The score had a 60's cheesy
secret agent feel at first... then it got almost avant gaurd
like at the end. All in all stunning movie I think. Lots of
big name roles in there too, a cameo from Brad Pitt and Matt
Damon. Drew Barrymore's performance wasnt too hot, she seems
to be able to just play the deprived/ditzy lover role in
most movies she is in. A great performance by Sam Rockwell!
Seriously some great acting, I was impressed

The movie has some intermissions with celebs that know the
real Chuck... and then in the end it shows him. I dont think
I can buy some parts of the movie for being factual, but I
am definatly going to read his book now. Very entertaining
 movie, something worth checking out

Hahaha the unknown comedian! And the dancer (sad when you
get to see what happens to him later in life though, :(

The oriental lady singing the "If I had a hammer song....

 Yay!

 | I saw it at the show last year with three other people in the theatre combined. We all enjoyed it, or at least I
assume we did. I know I did. We never spoke. Interesting
twist at the end. My only complaint was there wasn't enough
of Sam Rockwell's bare bottom shown in the film. Also the
intolerable Drew Barrymore is in this. But like with Donnie
Darko, even she couldn't ruin this film. Speaking of Darko,
Maggie Gyllenhaal has a small role in here. Rutger Hauer is
 brilliant as always.
