the worst song you ever heard..

chris from berlin u!l73q on 2001-09-25 21:57 [#00036347]

mozart sucks 2 me cause i can only recognize alot of skill
in composing technique - and although that is highly
recommendable for studying i still think the music can't
ever touch me, which makes me give such a subjective
statement. he destabilizes my mature emotions too much ;)

bach on the other hand found more heartrendering ways to
articulate his feelings into the work, imho.

but that's plainly subjective which can make me a fool as
well, but i'm all alone and i have no one to talk to in
physical space...

are there some composers that you enjoy in particular?

p.s. oh and what do the people think about isao tomita?
(richard is still grinning from the upper left corner;)

helios from zurich - CH on 2001-09-25 22:11 [#00036360]

there are two other componists, they are important to
me.(sorry my english and i see you're german, but the
others*g*)
Beethoven - he makes my sad and depressive but especially
few of his symphonis are great masterpieces for me
Vivaldi - light happy wunderful music like fyling bird.:-)

PS: Bach - toccata&fugue in d minor. i'am afraid of this
track. great.

|REFLEX| from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on 2001-09-25 23:08 [#00036399]

Its just peoples opinions. you cant state whiether or not
something actually for a fact sucks. thats impossible.. I
hate the pumpkins - who who said they are pretty much
laughed at in Chicago? Thats the stupidest thing ive heard.
So you know everyone in Chicago? Your talked to everyone in
Chicago and they all laughed at them? Seems like your not
telling the truth, ha either that or your just fabricating
something, exagerating it to sound cool or dis the band.
Gimme a break

Afterbirth on 2001-09-25 23:17 [#00036404]

What's your fucking problem Reflex? I said it and I've lived
in Chicago 19 years, and everyone I know hates the pumpkins,
they are made fun out of in the local music zines, and quite
obviously no one cares anymore. If you read closely, I said
they of course still have a large hardcore fan base, but
they are laughed at here, in all rock/puunk bars anyway.
what do you know about it anyway..please tell me since you
had nothing to do with this conversation, no ne asked you,
and no one wants to know...

Afterbirth on 2001-09-25 23:18 [#00036406]

....of course i'm going to diss a shitty band you asshole.
I also fucking hate the crystal method. can i do that? is
it ok? my friends hate crystal method is that ok?

|REFLEX| from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on 2001-09-25 23:24 [#00036409]

Hahah obviously you want to know since your asking me. Your
the asshole man. Really. you think you know everyone? OH WOW
THE HARDCORE SCENE! who give a fuck! Ive been living here
and uh.. well I was the hardcore punk scene here cause we
rebuilt it from the ground up. and I didnt laugh at the
Pumpkins. We werent all "YEAH MAN ANYTHING HARDCORE SUX
CAUSE WERE HARDCORE" do you .... ahh nevermind. Useless..
really its useless. Enlighten me at the coolness of your
hardcore friends and how they all laugh at bands they dont
like in bars. wow man.. super cool

|REFLEX| from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on 2001-09-25 23:26 [#00036410]

90's music is bad Afterthought? Please enlighten me. The
best music came from the 90's and even early and late 80's,
what if anything are you fuckin' talking about?!!?!

Afterbirth on 2001-09-25 23:33 [#00036416]

what are you talking about? A) I hate rock music and have no
interest in it, I only go to the bars cause friends and
hotties go there... and B) you just ripped on me for
pretending to be hardcore, but are now bragging about
rebuiding the hardcore scene. it must not have gone too
well if you're spending all your time on the web showing how
hardcore you are...

Afterbirth on 2001-09-25 23:35 [#00036418]

the best music came from the 90's? how can you make such a
generalization? have you talked to every person in canada?
have they said the 90's have the best music? you're so
stupid you just did exactly what you ripped on me for 2
seconds ago... btw I meant to type 80's when i posted that
but i fucked up... but i wouldn't say the 90's are the best
decade for music by any means.

|REFLEX| from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on 2001-09-25 23:35 [#00036419]

Afterbitrh: hahah your attempt is feeble. do you know how
long ago that happened? about 5 years ago. I kicked the
scene goodbye. Me on the net? Well I see you postin' right
after me. I was hardcore yes, I think that proves it doesnt
it? NOt talking about how much we hate something in some bar
with hotties. oh boy oh boy.

Afterbirth on 2001-09-25 23:36 [#00036420]

what should i do to be like you? please tell me... I know
you kissed off the scene and now you're in control so please
tell me how can i be like you?

|REFLEX| from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on 2001-09-25 23:36 [#00036421]

Your just using my words against me now. Which is blaintly
obvious and a sad sad attempt. Im sorry but, in my opinion
the 90s and late 80/;s produced the best music. Im sorry you
cant read in between the lines. and figure out its my
opinion.

|REFLEX| from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on 2001-09-25 23:37 [#00036423]

Why be like you, When you can be like me?

Afterbirth on 2001-09-25 23:39 [#00036424]

and... I browse this page cause I'm bored at work... you've
posted in every fucking topic that's ever been started with
information that is wrong that no one asked you for.
Everyone ignores or makes fun out of you anyway... just look
at the threads...

Chuck Norris on 2001-09-25 23:40 [#00036425]

"well I was the hardcore punk scene here cause we rebuilt it
from the ground up."

Reflex built the punk scene? Is that why The Offspring and
Green Day are #1 on the charts, ha.

|REFLEX| from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on 2001-09-25 23:40 [#00036426]

HAHAHA!!!!! No they dont. If I recall the last person that
tried to diss me for real got shut down be everyone REAL on
this place and totally backed me up. If you actually look on
the other threads youll see that no regular, or real person
dislikes me. Even people who argue with me soemtimes. God
this is retarded. No one asked me!? no one starts a topic
and says, "im asking you, you and you, not you or you this
time". Moron.

|REFLEX| from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on 2001-09-25 23:41 [#00036428]

Ah Chuck Norris: a grea source of entertainment you are! i
built it with my friends and other bands, we did it
together. and i had a large part in that. we did it in our
scene. here in edmontn. and last time I checked they arent
hardcore.

Afterbirth on 2001-09-25 23:42 [#00036429]

Of course I'm going to use your words against you- What else
am I supposed to do?????????? some good stuff comes out at
all times...Some of my favorite stuff came out in the
80's/'90's (skinny puppy/Joy Division/ Aphex/Coil) but you
can't ignore the '70's....

|REFLEX| from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on 2001-09-25 23:43 [#00036431]

I dont ignore the 70;s, 60;s or 50s...... actually I dont
ignore any time peroid of music. Ive heard great old skool
tribal songs.. that originated and have been redone from fay
beyong our time.... they are cool..... I dont ignore
anything, as Iam sure you dont ignore everyting either.

Chuck Norris on 2001-09-25 23:45 [#00036432]

Do you listen to the music of Slick Rick on a regular basis?

Afterbirth on 2001-09-25 23:46 [#00036433]

no i don't... i wasn't trying to be "hardcore" because I
hate that shit and it pissed me off 'cuz you came out of
nowhere 3 hours later and started ripping on me for
something i'm not...

Afterbirth on 2001-09-25 23:47 [#00036435]

slick rick rules is cool, so is tones of 80's hip hop like
public enemy, eric b. and rakim, epmd. etc...

|REFLEX| from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on 2001-09-25 23:48 [#00036437]

Afterbirth: thats my job in this MB, to the the long time
resident who rips of everyone else. Thats what everyone
likes to call me. And thats what im. and Im glad! So dont
take offence when I rip into ya on occasion. Ha

Afterbirth on 2001-09-25 23:50 [#00036440]

you also can't forget about the days of monkeys pounding on
stones... some good braindance tunes came out around 20,000
B.C.

|REFLEX| from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on 2001-09-25 23:52 [#00036442]

Braindace = stupid name.
IDM = worse name than braindance.

Im out till I get home. Got to make more ART for the page.

Afterbirth on 2001-09-25 23:55 [#00036444]

i.e. reflex has to go watch the sci-fi channel eat cheetos
and jack off to star trek while rebuilding the hardcore
scene from the ground up, but this time he's gonna do it
right!

Frank Stallone on 2001-09-26 00:04 [#00036446]

He could pour water into the bag of cheetos, then mesh them
into a heap, put in a glass, put his dick in the glass, and
watch Star Trek, it'd be just like having sex with one of
those aliens.

Afterbirth on 2001-09-26 00:06 [#00036448]

you're forgetting that he can't get hard anymore after all
those hardcore nights back when everyone kept it real...
maybe if he snorts viagra and thinks about that girl that
talked to him that one time though...

Stevey Rotten on 2001-09-26 00:13 [#00036451]

Don't worry, Reflex, stay true to the punk spirit. Live in
your car the rest of your life and never wash, don't get a
job, don't work for the man, man.

shut the fuck up reflex from reflex's pussy on 2001-09-26 00:26 [#00036453]

Reflex you look like a fucking fool. how can you rip on
someone in a city where you aren't? do you know what the
attitudes are there better than afterbirth does? god you
annoy me you fucker... good job on the edmonton hardcore
scene though, it converted a lot of us, almost as many
people as the smashing pumpkins converted to mtv pop rock

Loogie from Oxford, UK on 2001-09-26 00:38 [#00036460]

All of:

U2
REM
Simply Red
Beautiful South

...excruciating.

redeye from chinatown on 2001-09-26 00:39 [#00036464]

good call.. U2 is fucking painful, especially that
"beautiful Day" and "walk On" shit. They just keep getting
worse somehow.

redeye from chinatown on 2001-09-26 00:43 [#00036467]

IT'S A BEAUTIFUL DAY... DON'T LET IT GET AWAY... I hate
christian rock.

redeye from chinatown on 2001-09-26 00:49 [#00036476]

anyone remember that EMF song in the eighties...
"unbelieveable" that was pretty annoying/Shitty

redeye from chinatown on 2001-09-26 00:53 [#00036485]

it was before nirvana wasn't it? maybe '88 or early '89...

redeye from chinatown on 2001-09-26 00:56 [#00036492]

Either way it takes balls to admit you like that song...
although it's not as good as right said fred's "i'm too
sexy" huh?

redeye from chinatown on 2001-09-26 00:59 [#00036500]

ouch, that's bad.. that was the beach boys?

Barrett, Syd from T Dot on 2001-09-26 03:18 [#00036628]

100th post! woo hoo!

It's impossible to get it down to 5 worst, let alone 1.

how about anything by sarah mclaughan or whatever. bah.
ummmmm.............

3 doors down - kryptonite

anything by insane clown posse....

and smashing pumpkins rocked.

chris from u!l73q on 2001-09-26 03:29 [#00036631]

1o1 is still cute i tink,

so seriously, which richard d james track sucks to you (not
considering that bonus quief noise something is imo just a
tool for djs to cut shit up)

the only thing i really don't like is that some of the
ventolin tracks (like wheeze mix) sound alike. it's maybe
just 1 or 2 too much, but i'm just not used to that weak
sense of 'remix'-attitude from him

and i really dislike 'bummy' and 'green calx'. they're kind
of weakly inspired. i skip them everytime

Mutant Death Pengwin from Medicine Hat on 2001-09-26 03:38 [#00036632]

The worst song i ever heard is always playing, all i have to
do is turn on the radio or tv and the most commericial and
watered down music is being played.

chris from u!l73q on 2001-09-26 04:06 [#00036642]

reflex, don't get me wrong i LOVE this record (i think this
was the first or second thing i recognized him with) _but_
nevertheless there are 2 tracks that are strongly alike
which i think is the original and the wheeze mix which
sometimes deranges my nerves...
(not speeking of the 'video version')

OF COURSE, this is one of his bestestest records...

chris from u!l73q on 2001-09-26 04:07 [#00036643]

p.s. anyone got pictures from the places the ventolin mixes
are named after?

music please

Netlon Sentinel from yurp on 2001-09-26 22:37 [#00036896]

jesus people. i wouldn't have mentioned the pumpkins if i
knew some pointless debate was going to arise from it.

jeez.

wayout from a plastic bubble on 2001-09-27 02:48 [#00037053]

i can think of some pretty aweful songs of the top of my
head:
train-"drops of jupiter" what can i say...
wave-"going to california" hehe one of the guys in this
band looks like he has a midget head
s club 7-"never had a dream come true"
my sister loves this song. i remember back when it first
came out she downloaded it on napster and played it on a
CONTINUOUS loop for like an entire day...i nearly went
insane...

zophran on 2001-09-27 04:35 [#00037067]

1. worst song ever: peter gabriel, in your eyes

2. Reflex is gay.
