the advance cd is out on soulseek.
cd2 track #06 is the 808 state remix which was on the afx -
2 remixes ep . this song is so damn good! . and i believe
"SAW2 CD1 TRK2" is the version that was featured on one of
the peel session's ! niceness .

what does Windowlicker (Acid Edit) sound like? Is it the
demo version that was on the Japanise version of
Windowlicker or is it the HipHop mix featured in the video?

no it's a completly new one, it was on the Warp wifof2003
Mix CD that was handed out at some gig around christmas
time..

i must say i really like the SAW2 CD1 TRK2 remix!!!
old-school afx kind of..

Shit, the actual remixes have been available for years--I
had many many remixes on mp3 format in the year 2000. Tho,
of course, I'm sure there's a couple of 'new' ones

The Windowlicker acid edit is VERY disapointing imo

Howdy paul :) It's one of the newer mixes on the CD, like
chambre said it was also on the pool party mix cd.... it's
basically a crap beat with loops of the windowlicker
melody... half assed crap I thought.

what's the length of the windowlicker acid edit? can i take
it from you, and so what's your slsk name?

seems like the windowlicker track is an edit from the
warpwifof mix...
probably with the crappy quality mp3 of 'radiator'original
mix thrown in with the flow coma remix (i don't think it's
that one, it would have been stated on the warp site)

i'll download this and see but I cant possibly see this
remix album to be worth owning, seems like a ripoff. I mean
look at the title of the cd even.

that title reminds me of the zappa album "we're only in it
for the money" Also, it kinda sounds like the shit humour
that fatboy slim might employ

"where's the hype? when are Warp going to start their

ad campaign? I dont think drukqs had any ad campaign aside
from in like the wire or grooves.

nuh-uh. since it was his first album since five years they
staged a mass assault on the public (at least that's how I
saw it). mostly, though, this was realised by full-page
adverts in the Guardian. And I'm pretty sure they were in Q,
NME etc.

My local record store (at the time) had their front windows
plastered in copies of the DrukQs poster. Somehow I can't
see them having that many grey posters saying:

Aphex Twin
26 Mixes For Cash

the ebay money for all the singles and 12".. and ones who
don't use soulseek religiously...

I'm actually excited about this one.

I absolutely love the DMX rmx.
