Are the tracks on drukqs.net, or some other site?

balthus from europe on 2001-09-22 19:46 [#00035479]

they're just snippets, yes. the piano pieces remind me not
only of erik satie but also of jazz and also of the very
simple piano pieces by peter maxwell davies (who also writes
symphonic music, which is influenced by the landscape and
isles of northern scotland) - pieces like yesnaby ground and
farewell to stromness (even the titles of the maxwell davies
pieces are similar to the james pieces). i don't think
anyone hear is familiar with these pieces (well, they are
kinda obscure). and in the end there was also one prepared
piano piece... and here you have the influence of john cage
(ryuichi sakamoto also had a piece for prepared piano on his
bttb album).

balthus, do the drukqs samples play automatically, or do you
have to click on some botton to hear them?

Joyrex from joyrex.com of course! on 2001-09-23 02:47 [#00035526]

Click on the 'A' in Aphex Twin.
