 | A collaboration between vocalist Ben Gibbard [lead singer of Death Cab For Cutie] and Jimmy Timborello[or some
spelling similar to that] of DNTEL.

If you like both these bands you'll like this.

 | Death Cab for Cutie sucks major ass.
DNTEL is badass though, I give him credit for comming out of
the Indie pop scene and into the IDM scene.

 So whats this music like?

 | it sounds like a milder version of their collaboration 'The Dream of Evan and Jarron ' off of Dntel's album, 'Life is
Full of Possibilities.' i think it is excellent and have
been recommending it to anyone who will listen for months
now. i have yet to hear from one person who didn't like it
(i gave away nearly a dozen copies to friends for
christmas). it's good, catchy, electronic glitchy-pop.

 | The Postal Service is great.
Such Great Hights is four tracks and some of them are on
Give Up (I don't know if they're different versions or not).

 | I just got "Give Up" it's really good, nothing groundbreaking but a good mix of solid songs. Some are
really catchy - the kind of songs you can listen to over and
 over...

I've noticed it has been getting a lot of airplay around
town lately. I'd love to see them live. Fingers crossed.

 | well shit, Postal Service sounds like they could be pretty decent. this is important because i was talking with a girl
and she was telling me about them, but i dismissed it
because she likes indie music. Postal Service played a few
weeks ago here in Denver, so i could've gone and saw them
 and could've had a good time, but i didn't because i thought
they wouldn't be all that great.

 | I saw the Postal Service live with Cex (I was there to see the latter), and I will say I thought it was a little on the
crap side but I guess when it comes down to it, there are
worse things out there. had a nice long chat with the guy
that was doing their visual effects and stuff thought.

 | lol
Death Cab for Cutie USED to be awesome. Something about
 Airplanes is a killer album.

bought their release after that, "Photo Album" or whatever,
and it sucked nice and hard.

There as boring as Built to Spill.

 --------
Postal Service sounds ok, nothing extraordinary from what
 I've heard.

 | its funny, it seems like alot of indie rockers list postal service as a band they're down with. so its just another
link between "idm"/electronics and the "indierocker" scene.
and i think connections are good.

i haven't listened to postal service though yet to know. i
 like dntel.

 | i thought this thread was going to be a rant about how much the postal service sucks. it annoys me that if ther is a
national holiday that happens on a sunday, since they
already have that day off, they take monday off too!!
