Aw man I was going to use that as an avatar, you bastard. Wayne Brady seems like deep down secretly he might be a nicey nicey jehovah's witness and it's crippling his talent. Cause he's smart and quick with the improv... maybe if his family burned to death it'd strip away the nice and make him a better comic. You know who's also funny but needs to get his hate on is that Louie Anderson. He was great on the doktor phil show. He is so fucking fat and had such a shitty life you'd think he'd already be bursting with rich glossy blackstrap hatred, but noooo. |

I dont know, HE JUST SEEMS SO MANUFACTURED by dumb ass American daytime tv shows....I mean I have seen hin om Whos Line...and yeah he's pretty good, but this is horrible... As for louie anderson. I think he was very funny about 10 years ago....nows he's juat disgusting looking...I mean he couldnt even hold the Family Feud gig... He just got bigger and bigger and more gross looking...and its sad because you know theres one funny ass man in there behind that Jabba the hut looking exterior... ok Ill settle down. Im sure he's a nice guy. ;) |

Yeah, I watched less than 60 seconds of Wayne's show before condemning it to hell. It's like "Troy and Company's Summertime Smile Factory". |

wayne brady is what his fellow black comedians would not too kindly call a "house nigger." while that is a very crude and hurtful assessment, i have to agree with the meaning behind it. his tv comedy does sell out to the white majority. there's nothing wrong with clean cut humor, but he caters his to a white, middle class audience. if jerry seinfeld started writing all his jokes in order to appeal to lower class blacks people wouldn't like it. truth be told, i think wayne brady is very funny. it just depends on what show he's on. sketch and improvised stuff is where he excels; "his own" shows (not really when you factor in the heavy hand of the producers and marketing team who really guide the show) are best avoided. |

minority comedians, from homosexuals to asians to overweight people to blacks etc, TEND to particularize their humor to a target audience that is either like them or sympathizes with them. so most black comedians do cater to a black audience. however, some are more general, and that's great too. i was commenting on how wayne brady caters to a WHITE audience most of the time (if not always), which i have qualms with. |

i'm saying that other black comedians would look at him as a sell out (and most of them probably do), but then again, comedians don't tend to be the kindest or most understanding bunch. |
