it's said that war breeds hate. not so far fetched.

does it follow that until threats--despite their
magnitude--are responded to with absolute nonviolence, war
will continue? in otherwords, if/when bush goes to war, is
he sealing the deal for a future war?

don't you have any deeper thoughts on why it's not so? i
don't claim that this is some law of nature, it's just a
possibility that crossed my mind.

and i suppose "seal the deal" is a bit of a sweeping
statement, but, seriously, isn't starting a war planting
seeds for future war? are we just putting off some sort of
alternate resolution that has to come sometime?

well if you look at past wars, thats not always the case.
that all depends on how each side reacts the end of the
war.. ie revenge
