okay..it's called
IT'S A BOY
okay I guess the title beggers an explanation...these were
the words of the Telegram sent to LosAlamos to announce the
first successful A-bomb testin 1945..
Oppenheimer quoted the Bhagvad Gita upon witnessing this
explosion saying:"I am become death, shatterer of worlds"

dont worry about it being a harsh explosive track..cuz it
aint...the style is click house/click hop inspired by the
likes of Herbert and Cristian Vogel.

as always feedback appreciated..

I am reading
THE NEW NUCLEAR DANGER by Dr. Helen Caldicott
this littlechilling pieceinformation comesfrom there..this
cahpter isdescribing the psychology of Nuclear Scientist and
their cult like status where they humanize the weapons
calling them their children etc while dehumanizing the
victimization they cause and calling humans killed by them
as being "disassembled"..

Awesome, though I was expecting something more... poppy.

I give it, out of a maximum 10 bubbles, 8.5.

OOOOOOOO1/2

i saw a really cool dramatization/documentery on the lead up
to Hiroshima, co-produced by canadian AND japanese TV
companies.

IT showed both sides mentality at the time...... Truman just
becoming president after FDR died, the japanese military
opposing their governemnet and tyrying to sway the emperor,
the scientists, the fact that germany was being defeated etc
etc.

It was brilliant and it showed the thought behind dropping
the bombs and the weight of the decision behind it......
crucial viewing and worth following up with manys a reading
of books from hostorians on all sides to buid up an accurate
picture of the event that shocked the world.

thought not. :P

anyways, on to the new POP track. :)
nice. very even, for you I mean. you keep it kind of easy,
no showing me all four corners of the room. I like that. its
something different from you - then again, this IS a
different project, ofcourse.

I was listening to a bit of old Bola just before and this
really follows up nicely.

btw, really cool demo! your production is very good, me
thinks.

only thing I feel is maybe the order of the tracks should've
been different - nrs 1 and 2 sound kind of "similar" in a
very broad sense, but thats the way people listen the first
time..

like track 3 leads into track 4

well you are such a nice guy..:)
I left feedback about your CDs..on that thread called
QRTER!!..did you get around to looking at it?
any way..I love both the CDs..qrter mix..is a treat..your
intro's and interludesand segues are worldclass..and such an
eclectic bunch of tunes:)

ow, I hadn't seen that. just read it. thanks :)

it's true what you say there - the newer are tracks are
better if not for the mixing alone, which I am still
learning more and more.

actually "armer" (one of the later tracks..) is going to
appear on a kind of benefit-compilation-cd for wfmu-radio -
donna summer (um.. the electronic one..) has a show there,
playing all kinds of electronica. you should send him a cd-r
of your stuff - I'm guessing he'll love it.

I've been meaning to send out demo's to labels for quite a
long time - just never really do it. think I'll just have to
pressure myself to do it end of this month.

nice that you liked the qrtermix! that was a lot of work,
but I had lots of fun making it. nice to hear you could
appreciate the "eclecticness" of my chosen tracks - there's
just such a lot of great music to be heard, why limit
yourself.. mm. kind of an obvious thing to say.. :P

I was just thinking the other day.. I'd like to collaborate
with you.. we could do a "remix tree".. one of us remixes
the other.. the other then remixes THAT track.. the other
then remixes that remix etc etc.

I've been doing this with a friend of mine, and the results
are pretty varied..
