(<--gza!)

question.
for some reason, up until about a month ago, I have been
s.o.l. in my attempts to find the japanese version of the
Ghost Dog: The Way of The Samurai soundtrack. if you know
about this film, or the jap. version of the soundtrack, you
might be aware of the fact that the rza scored the film, and
the japanese soundtrk. is but the film's rza-produced score
itself. I want an official copy, and all I have right now is
a burned copy a friend made for me back when he was the only
kid on the block with a cd-r drive .. before they came a
standard computer component. on ebay, nothing. on amazon,
nothing (is there like an amazon.co.jp? or something like
that?) even on that eil.com site, nothing..

are there any good rare and/or import cd's that I should be
aware of when searching for an item like this? (btw. I'd
rather not have a used copy, but if it comes down to it,
y'kno, beggars can't be choosers)
let me knw

u like it too? I wish more of his work was like this. he's
so much better than his simplified, "digital" production of
late

the jazz one at the end is fucking awesome.. as well as the
samurai theme, flying birds and the one that backed the
opening credits

man it's nice to see rza mentioned on this board.

last i checked (it's been a while) amazon.com had it as a
$30+ import. you might wanna check www.bn.com too. as far as
ordering direct from japan, hmv.co.jp is where to go.

but compared to his liquid swords, cuban linx etc work..
it's nothing. watered-down and pandering

they are great, i agree. rza has different styles, it's
expected some people will like some styles more than others.
my fave rza is still his production on wu-tang forever. it's
grimy, it's CLEVER (36 chambers has its charm but it's so
much simpler and loop based; this was before rza became a
studio rat), it's complicated, and it just sounds great.
