donnie darko sucked. it totally fell apart at the end,
leaving me very dissatisfied and PISSED OFF.

It's good.

The kind off movie you have to watch twice to understand
it.

You'll start discussing with whomever you'll watch it as
soon as the credits start rolling...

when i saw the end, i didnt really understand it, but i'd
never say i hated it...it just interested me a bit more and
kinda challenged me or something.
i wouldnt say it fell apart at the end...on thinking about
it more and more...i appreciate the ending of it big time
now.

I liked it.

the sarcasm throughout the movie is great.

Where did you see it? How come you guys didn't like it?

yep... if isn't wasn't for the comedy the films pretty lame
really...... as someone said here before, a slightly jazzed
up twighlt zone type deal.... not great!
american teenage angst gets pretty broing no matter what
spin is put on it.....
("GO" and "breakfast club" are all i need)

what comedy? that "comedy" i interpreted as "lousy, boring,
uninteresting irony". what's with that school system? it's
not funny, it's just boring. the movie's just got a whole
bunch of crap that leads to a conclusion that only leaves
it's propound ideas up in the air - and by the time the
credits roll, the ideas have been sucked into that black
hole, because i sure as hell am not interested AT ALL.

as prolly that same person here said:

"What are you're top ten movies, and if Donnie Darko is up
there, I'll fucking punch you in the face"

i've talked about 'donnie darko' on a lot of message forums,
describing why i hate it and so forth. each time i find a
new one to poo on it. it's quite easy, it's a shitty film.

Okay, it won't make my top10 but I surely found it better
than 80% of the movies that are being released in our local
theatre nowadays.
- Gangs of Boo York
- Lame Bond
- Fry kids
- Harry ...

ah well... I didn't regret seeing it.

the discussions :)

It's a very good movie. Awesome music as well. Gary Jules -
Mad World, alternate version is sweet.

Donnie Darko is a very good movie. it's got an 80's theme
throughout that is very well done. the humor is pretty much
top notch.

my only complaint about it is Drew Barrymore's performance.
I think played a big role in financing the film so she
prolly put herself in the role that she wanted, but, I think
she pretty much blows ass as an actress.

The movie leaves a whole lot of things unanswered. some
people like that, some don't. but, if you get the DVD there
is a shitload of deleted scenes that help to answer some
important questions.
