do NOT trust the Gates of Hell!!!

Microsoft WILL start off the real life equivalent of SkyNet,
and the scenes depicted in the Terminator films or The
Matrix will become reality

please, don't aid him!

What makes you think your not in the matrix right now. We
are eigther living it for the first time or we are just some
guys computer simulation.

I say suck up to the celebrities cause they are probably the
creators of this simulation.

Microsoft are too far removed..

Skynet/matrixius underdevelopmentaswe speak under the
auspicies of Pentagon..most likely by Lockheed..

Think about it, it's not going to be Microsoft taking over
the world. You wouldn't be afraid of a few rampaging
Intellimice, would you?

The real danger is from those industrial robots, so you
better watch out for Toshiba, Siemens and the rest.

microsoft is slowly inching in on personal rights too,.
apparantly a new line of pentiums actually check every
program you try to run and see if it's authorised by
microsoft, and if it's not,. then they don't run it.

which means that if you download a freeware game over the
net, it won't run, or if you have a pirate microsoft
program, it'll report you.

also

the XP service pack contains things inside the "terms of
agreement" which says, in complicated legal jargon, that you
are handing over the right to view, delete, and edit
anything they see fit.

well actually Microsoft is a viable threat

i'm guessing that pretty much at least over 70% of the
worlds computers run some version of a Microsoft OS (be it
primary OS or multi-boot)

it would be ideal because they'd already be installed on
most of the computers worldwide

think about that - EVERY computer in the world, running an
MS operating system, getting online and running and
processing together, like an array

that would be a POWERFUL mother fucking computer

"Error 360: corrupt file or missing data. Please restart

I wouldn't worry too much about it. Since it's by Microsoft,
we could always just crash it by sending it an oversized
ping packet. Or maybe use a Mac Powerbook to smack it down
"Independence Day" style.

microsoft terminators wouldn't be much of a threat at all,

I'm sure they'd have an "alt+ctrl+del" button on them though

then all of a sudden they stop

then, somewhere in the heart of what was known as the
microsoft hq.....a computer screen displays the BSOD

yeah

the only reason i use Windows is because i have to!

:(

i wish unix had taken the market back in the 80's instead of
Microsoft

we'd all be happier computer users!

Practically no one "has to" run Windows. It might be the
best tool for certain jobs, but you're probably not being
forced to run it.

"can i install SuSE Linux on this machine so i don't have to
use Windows?"

"NO!"

"okay"

Run a Windows session under Linux with VMware. Or get a new
job. ;-)

the computers here at work are shit, they wouldn't run
windows under linux...they barely run windows!!!

not allowed to install other software on these because
they're public access computers - by that i mean that anyone
in the building can use them, so they wouldn't let me put it
on here due to everyone needing to understand and use Linux
and it's differing GUIs

Hmmm... do you honestly think microsoft could produce
something like artificial intelligence?
Let them first develop an operating system that actually
works.

I worry more about the american government than I worry
about Microsoft.

I fear we will have a third world war soon.

no, i think microsoft will plagurise working
software/hardware for AI

they did it with DOS!

it's inevitable at the moment where war is concerned though

very sad indeed

i underestand microsoft haters, but i i find ridiculous to
hate windows without any reason at all, windows is a fucking
good OS and i know what i'm talking about, just have the
good version and don't put plenty shitty software all over
your system and it'll be stable as hell
