... possibly the first cover that makes the barcode look
pretty :-D

Overal, i have to say this is some of the most stunning
artwork i've seen from any idm-artist so far. I love it!

not just great cover, great album aswell! Hub is one of the
creepiest tracks I've ever heard, cichli one of the best...
the string of tracks 4,5, and 6 is one of my favorite
autechre experiences

I love how each track evolves from start to finish... many
begin as one thing and end as something completely
different, and the change is very hard to pinpoint if you
listen to the whole track from start to finish, but if you
listen to just the first and last minutes, it's a big
difference most of the time

yeah, i like what i'm hearing so far... the album isn't even
halfway through, and already i want to hear it again :-p

But seriously, i'm not buying anything anymore for at
least a month! ;-) (i hope...) this is getting out of hand,
hehe. I bought something like 20 cd's all within a month.
Yesterday i also got endtroducing by dj shadow and the
budakhan mindphone ep (+2 albums with guitar-music)... and
this chiastic slide ofcourse.

So yeah... now i'm just gonna listen to all these cd's for a
couple of weeks. Maybe i should make it my goal to only
allow draft 7:30 to be my next purchase ;-)

heh i know the feeling :( i had an agreement with myself to
get only 3 albums in the first 6 months of 2003, namely the
afx remixes, draft and the zwan album. i have already
exceeded that limit without having bought any of those
records :( i bought all tomorrow's parties 1.0 at plato in
leiden of all places!! it was listed under tortoise for
reasonable but inobvious reasons... it's great though

"have already exceeded that limit without having bought
any of those records :(
"

hehe, yep... that's how it goes. (i can almost guarantee
i'll buy atleast a couple of cd's before draft7:30 get
released).

The thing is that i keep running into records that i've
never seen anywhere before, or records that are halfprice or
whatnot... it always feels like a once-in-a-lifetime
opportunity ;-)

But they also had "selection sixteen" in the store i was
yesterday, but i was strong and resisted the urge to also
buy that one ;-)

*pats self on shoulder*

"it's great though "

yeah... just think to yourself that all this beautiful music
is worth much more than stupid money :-) It's nicer to have
some good music to listen to, than to have lots of money in
your wallet... or something like that.

hm... this track chichli is really quite nice! I can see how
this album makes you happy qrter... it somehow feels much
more uplifting and positive than their other albums.

heh you were wise not to get selection 16, there's a couple
of good tracks but loads more shitty ones, if you ask me.

oh god I buy loads of cd's every month and I know I'll never
stop.

never.

the last couple minutes of cichli where they strip
everything off only leaving that beautiful ambient melody
that was in the background for most of the track... i like
that

hm... that doesn't sound very promising :-/ Eventually i'll
probably get it anyway (for those couple of good tracks
;-))... but i think i'll hardly ever listen to it (just like
the maximum priest ep... 2 songs on there i really like, yet
the entire disc is such a sloppy mess, i just can't force
myself to listen to it all).

cool :-) I'll pay special attention to that next time i
listen to it! But now i'm already at calbruc...

I like how tewe speeds up ever so slightly so you only
really notice its going quite a lot faster in the last 2
minutes..

"such a lovely, breezy track.."

indeed it is!
That was a nice description qrter:-)

breezy... mmm... yes! That's exactly the right word. Like
the end of a long hot summer's day... when it's just getting
a bit cooler and more pleasant... that's what it reminds me
of.

ehh, when I was talking about Envane, I meant the cover. the
music is more different.

and all chiastic lovers I know ended up saying that the best
track on there is Nuane (the last one). Inhuman futuristic
jazz... for about 4 mins...

"ehh, when I was talking about Envane, I meant the cover.

yeah yeah :-) I understood that.
(i also looked at the cover on the warpsite, and indeed it
obviously matches the CS-cover).

I'm gonna put chiastic on again later this day :-) This
morning i listened to Endtroducing for the first time, and i
have to say i felt rather dissapointed... hm... but maybe
it'll grow on me.
