Could someone please suggest some Diamanda Galas songs?
I find what Ive heard (crucify me, birds of death, cunt, my love will never die, the divine punishment something something something beehhhh I cant remember anyone but I think there was one or two more...) to be rather irritating because of her voice, which I dont really like. But if someone would suggest something that is not one of those, Id be happy to download it!
Thanks in advance!

Download the song Judgement Day. It sends chills up my spine just thinking about it.
But if her voice annoys you, why bother? She sings to express torment and anguish, not to make pleasant music. She's the opera equivalent of a Francis Bacon painting.

*twitch* I cant find that song. I have Kazaa (not soulseek) and the last time I looked for some stuff by her (a wek weeks ago) I found a ton. Thats why I only chose a few to download. Now its only giving me like 20 things, and Judgment Day isnt one of them. :|
*sigh of defeat*

I might suggest Sono L'Antichristo..but seeing that you dont like her voice..this is a bit of an excercise in futility..

The Sporting Life album that she did with John Paul Jones..is a bit easier to listen to I suppose..plenty of really funky Zeppish grooves on that...
try and see if you can find..
Skotoseme
but dont feel bad...Diamanda in general is the most extreme music out there

maybe she's just one of the most extreme singers on the planet...not easy listening
however in a similar vein I was thinking maybe...
Bliss Blood - Pain Teens or
Hanayo who plays with Panacea on you guessed it...Hanayo In Panacea...try
Hallo Hilter (I cant seem to resist that tonite), I am Tamogotchi...fun fun fun

i've bought meditation and prayer as a friend reccomended her to me. I'm selling it now cos her voice irritates me... thats not saying her voice is bad, its just, erm... a bit extreme and forceful and not to my taste though i guess it suits her music which in some parts is very good.
