has anyone else seen the video for Moby - In This World?

I mean, are you fucking kidding me? The melody in the track
is the exact same as My Weakness from Play, and it's the
stupidest fucking shit I've ever seen! Little fucking
aliens walking around with sighns saying hello, hola and
whatnot. Common Moby, I'm already getting tired of your
stupid bullshit, so why do you half to make it so easy?

shithead

I think a hasty castration is in order...

I know you might not like moby, but why did you call him
common? He's Herman Melville's grandson or something.
Definitely not common. Even if you don't like him, I've got
to tell you -I think he's great.

complacent lately

he is great, it's just that when he keeps pumping out the
same stuff over and over again, it's annoying

and especially when virtually every track from Play is used
in adverts and on tv programs all over the place pushing it
your face

Hey a good song's a good song in my book, oscillik. And if
it helps to sell products then that must mean a lot of
people like it. Moby can push his music in my face any time.

Correction- Every single track from Play has been
licenced for use in TV or film.

Now he has found success (Play) he just emulates that style.
Before he used to change genre every album. "Everything is
wrong" is pretty good and Go! is great (largely because it
samples Twin Peaks them). Only Moby record I own on 12".

>bill_hicks

yeah but i'm the kind of person that believes that music is
an art form, not some kind of "product"

>Ceri JC

ahh i see! lol

yeah i know what you mean, i hate when an artist figures out
that a particular style is working very well and they churn
it out oever and over again

I still like some of his stuff no matter what... for
instance, Porcelain has a special place in my heart for good
reason, as does Why Does my Heart Feel so Bad?

They were both played at my buddies funeral.
