Just wanted to know how to get rid of the static sound when playing a vinyl (i just got my first today, i'm only fifteen - shut up!), because it's really annoying hearing the crackly sound.
What cloth should I use to remove the dust also?
Thanks.

A serious record collector I know swears by using this and then one of these.
The former is quite expensive, but the antistatic gun is well worth it.

sometimes that surface noise on vinyl is nice and adds to the tune, just like
tri-Repatea(?) or summut. dust on vinyl sucks tho
