have any of you noticed that certain artists and bands from
genres such as "the 80's" and "grunge" are jumping on the
bandwagon and releasing new material?

Soft Cell were on TOTP2 last night, and i remember that
mudhoney released another album

erasure are coming back
human league
etc etc etc

i think that it's pathetic they're just trying to cash in

Are you sure it wasn't some of their old stuff being shown
on TOTP2?

everyones trying to cash in and NO one is doing anything
NEW

grunge was a lame name for PUNK done by pussies -

i personally hate this whiney rock n blah stuff - where the
guys cry about how horrible life is - or how much they love
their purple sheets - zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

no one is putting balls or heart in music anymore - well
minus celine dion

:)

*rolls his eyes* Soft Cell are NOT cashing in! they declined
to being part of a 'revival' tour with other 80's groups.
They got back together because they had music to put out.
Erasure never even stopped making music!

It was old footage, from their mid 90's revival

Fucking AWFUL as well

ahh, ok

thanks :)

it's just that it seems as though they are, because we're
still in the 80's revival thing

it's being reflected in the chart music at the moment, with
lots of use of vintage synth sounds

We can always hope for Erasure to stop

Actually, I might be wrong. I only watched 5 seconds of it
before turning over. But as far as I know TOTP2 stopped
showing highlights from recent TOTP shows and only does
stuff ten years back or more

At this rate we'll probably have a 00's revival before the
00's are over...

i personally dont see how soft cell are as you put it
"jumping on a bandwagon", what bandwagon exactly by the
way??
if they want to release new music and have so and so artist
remix them, then why not? but excatly whose music do you
feel they are trying to copy?? fischerspooner perhaps??

soft cell did torch on totp2 - thats from 1982 isn't it? but
they do have a new album & single out so why they chose to
do an old number i have no idea

the new erasure song is shit, they shouldve given up a long
time ago, circus /wild / innocents are decent albums
