this thread lives again, ok can anyone suggest a merzbow
track to dl that doesnt sound like a slowed down train
wreck, i mean that seems to have a line of thought to it.

knobcheese > maybe you can try one of the tracks off music
for bondage performance, vol.1... i recommend the first one
especially, "hara kiri video 'lost paradise' theme"

this album sounds a bit like coil's 'how to destroy angels',
if you already heard it :)

One merzbow cd was enough. Overall I don't mind noise, but
there is so little variation between most of his songs that
for me it's not even worth listening to.

which one have you got Wolfslice?

i just bought 'A Taste Of...', which i already listened many
times on .m3u on mego website... well it is quite very
different from what was streaming, it was already good on
.m3u but it is much better in cd ^^
(i was expecting a difference of course but not that much :)
)

I've got Pulse Demon, Tauromachine, 1930, and Music For
Bondage Performance.
Don't get me wrong, sometimes I'm in the mood to crank up
some Merzbow, but even after many listens, I still cant help
but think he's making the same song every time since he
began releasing music.
Havent heard Satanstornade though, I'm hoping to see a fresh
idea or two buried somewhere on that cd

ok :)
Music For Bondage Performance is quite different from most
other Merzbow though..

i have MFBP v1, Dharma, A Taste Of... (and Satanstornade in
mp3).
Satanstornade is a bit different too, i couldn't tell what
it has more, maybe more "depth", like there was a slight
more hint of ambiance in it... dunno

i agree, most of the time Merzbow sounds the same!
but the albums i have are quite different enough for me not
regretting having any one of them, like "this one is too
much similar to the ones i already got".
(maybe i will later though)
