We should hold a competition to see who can do the best
remix of the original theme tune.

I think I've heard AFX dj the Grange Hill theme
before....fuck knows when but I'm pretty sure it was him (or
some other rephlex bod...)...

Grange Hill ruled tho...I did enjoy their anti-drugs
storyline & song; certainly convinced me to get a
habit...;)..

And those titles!!!...I'm still haunted by that Sausage
hitting fork bit...strange what trivial shite you can
remember...was it really 25yr ago?...(I'm sure you lot
mention this shit to make me feel even old & past it...;)...

I used to watch Grange Hill religiously during the mid to
late 80s...unfortunately, I was just a bit too young to
remember Tucker Jenkins, tho I think I saw the spin-off
series---I remember Zammo and his smack addiction (stealing
his ma's crystal (not crystal meth ;) And I remember that
bird that got up the duff, and that athlete who is now the
coke addict in The Bill...is Todd Carty really going to turn
up in The Bill...how long before he "cops" it in the Enders?
A week? Two weeks?

Remind me, has Mark got good AIDS or bad AIDS.

I heard a tune by Nelly on Radio 1 that was him rapping over
the Grange Hill theme tune. Crazy or what?

Grange hill theme is right up RDJ´s street alright. I
remember that sausage too! Remeber that toad who popped into
Eastenders afterwards? THE ugliest bitch on TV ..
"´shewlle" or "smell or whatever! Remeber the Hitler
teacher guy? We all had somebody like him at some point!!

Mr Bronson played Hitler in Indiana Jones and the Last
Crusade.

that reminds me of Danny the artist...didn't he design the
new school tie? :D Didn't he die in Bronson's car or
something like zat?

Yeah, they found him in Bronson's car; Ziggy, Robbie and
that. Can't remember what he dies from but I remember being
shocked. It was a bit harsh for kids TV. I was used to all
the violence of the A Team with no deaths.

He was a graf artist wasn't he? But he didn't look like the
kind of kid down with hip hop culture. He was always bumping
up against authority the poor lad.

hilarious. I remember the 70's, the 80's and the 90's and
they were all great times. I look back at them now and
laugh. Didn't they wear funny clothes back then? And wasn't
kids tv great?

I remember that episode where he was in Bronson's car. Does
anyone know what he died of? Bloody atrists, always coofing
it. One died of OD in my school (well not actually "in
school", but you know what I mean ). I think the old comic
strip theme intro was far better than the new one they
brought in in 1990. That sausage on a fork thing stuck in my
mind too for some reason.

That guy Ray (he still appears in it running a Cafe) was
great when he was in school and also the episode where
they're out orienteering on the moors and getting hunted by
one of the kids ex-army older brothers who is a psycho.

The girl who was an alcoholic in sixth form drinking voddy
in her OJ etc. was a good role model and paved the way for
me drinking in a similair fashion in my school Eisteddfodd
(folk festival).

Danny, or 'Zammo' or whatever the fuck he was called, gassed
himself on petrol fumes I believe.

I remember one particularly funny episode of grange hill.
When I think about it now it seems even funnier. I think
Gripper stebson was in it. Wasn't he scary? I wish I could
watch them all again. Didn't we all have great times back
then? Anyone remember chorlton and the wheelies, bagpuss,
texan bars, splicers, diddlee boppers, waffle trousers?
Happy days. I look back at them now and smile.

Danny and Zammo were two different people! Danny was the one
with the big hotter, and zammo was...zammo... actually, I
saw Zammo on a TV show recently--it might have been
Nevermind the Buzzcocks, cos he was in the line-up---and he
looks EXACTLY the same! :D

Bagpuss was tops. There was a really funny thing on TV where
some idiot lefty woman was going on about how bagpuss was a
metaphor for anti-capitalism with the mice being the poor
ignorant, exploited workers et. it then cut to the writer of
it who said that that was a load of tosh- it was just a kids
TV show :D

Of course, second only to Grange Hill was the magnificent
Ulysses 31! Great great stuff! (I think--maybe if I watched
it now, I'd think it was shit :)

plunger.

Jason and the something or others...

Yes, and they had cool weapons like buzz saws and morning
stars. That girl who was half plant on the goodies sides was
a novel character too.

I always liked the way the baddies caught them unawares,
they'd just appear from nowhere.
