Quite an enjoyable time i had! I recomend seeing them if you get a change. Me and my friend decided at 6:45 that we would go. the concert started and 8, and I got there after the opener had finished, so we expected scalpers would be trying to get rid of their tickets. we got 2 $60 tickets for $50 bucks instead. So if you're going to a concert and buying scalper tickets, go after the opening band cause they'll just be trying to dump them... fun fun. |

3 little pigs by green jelly..... didn't maynard have something to do with that? someone out of the ordinary at least. i saw no minimalist movement of any sort. well, the band dosen't move around much, and maynard stands in the background in front of a big screen, but that's about it. he played guitar too. didn't know he could do that. when i saw him in toronto (with apc opening for NIN) last year in april he said that robin finck had given him a guitar, but he didn't know how to play it so..... They have movies play along with their songs....little music videos for each song. very cool. a live dvd of this tour would be super cool. their videos that are playing behind them look exactally like little parts out of silent hill 2. (if you know the game, and have seen any footage, you'll know what i'm talking about) it was very cool stuff... |

in the standard prog rock kinda way! no offence to no one..he's apretty good writer and performer but I don't think the music does the texts justice..some of the creepiest subject matter being backed by a standard rock shtick.. |

I didn't say that you said they were scary Syd...I said some of their subject matter can be pretty messed up and daring..I remember Prison Sex etc...I said he can conjure some creepy images just the music let's him down.... to reflex..I treasure all of my Jesus Lizards... :) |

yeah Shot is pretty good..hitech soundin even..you should checkout their early stuff too..Pure is fuckin' insane..with drum machines and feedback and screaming..almost like an Industrial album...GOAT made me decide that TJL is GOD!...have I seen em live..yes! V.V Freaky..Yow was wearing Lipstick and a Skirt/Kilt...then he reaches down and pulls on something and stretches it about a meter or so..turns out it's his testicle...craziest thing I have ever ever seen! |
