Okay, i had to think of this CD when i read the thread
about Songs For The Deaf. Josh Homme has said (they were his
openingband during a part of the QUOTSA-tour) this is the
best band in the world, and he plans to record the next
Desert Sessions-cd with them...

So who's heard of them? (probably no one outside of belgium
;-)) Now this is one great rockalbum! It kicks
songs for the deaf's ass imo ;-)

The songs are mostly loud and verry messy. At first i didn't
know what to make of it. It's like a jamsession between
musicians that's gotten out of hand or something.... but
after listening to it many times i feel the exact opposite:
these are 12 of the best popsongs i've heard in a long time!
Totally original and unique, very catchy and perfectly and
carefully constructed (it's really not messy at all :-) Just
a sort of organised chaos... but you need to hear it many
times to recognise it).

"Come with you" sounds like a distorted Prince-song during
the verses... and the chorus is just pure insanity with
distorted and very high-pitched vocals and a horrormovie-ish
part that sounds almost like Marilyn Manson (all within one
song).

And then immediately after that the next song on the album
is called "She's a doll", a sweet little song that has a
chorus that could have been written by Air.

And those are only 2 songs :-) I haven't even mentioned "Her
Gender" which has some parts that sound like your cd-player
is skipping, or "Flame me up", that has the same weird
bouncy sound as that Bastian-track (with the
t-shirt-videoclip!).

You've got to hear it to believe it.

Ohw... lol, now i've written a sort of review ;-) I was just
planning to ask in anyone else knows (and loves) this band?
There has to be someone on this board... right?

yeah sure, i could just ask: Does anyone else here know the
album "Outside the Simian Flock" by Millionaire?

But since no-one probably does, someone surely would have
asked: "no, what does it sound like?". And i already
anticipated that and tried to describe it in my previous
post :-p
