Quoth from Berlin on 2001-09-18 23:30 [#00033890]

I only have a Juno-60, JP-8000, and a Jupiter-4... what do
others here have if any?

soon to have Roland Studio Pack/Hardware and Roland
Groovebox mc307.

I went with MOFX/ELEXTRIC and KORG and some other stuff for
effects/vocoders and samplers and keyboard and mixers......
Roland is top quality though.

PC-300

Hey Reflex .. did you check out the Yamaha RM1x - or the new
Yamaha RM7000 or something ?? ie vs MC307 -- any opinions?

not really.. I will thought. I think the mc307 has many
components and options as the 505 and ofcourse the old 303.
I dunno that well right now though. Have to go look at it
again and then get it in my hands at my place finally. Im
guessing it depends on what you want and then get it
depending.

I've got a dr-550... which is technically BOSS.. and
technichally isn't much good and hasn't been turned on in
weeks. but at least it has the 909 and 808 sounds if I ever
feel the need to use them.
I don't think rolands lower end stuff like the xp-30
through whatever and the one wrapped up like a candy bar in
the ad... are particularily useful or inspiring... but I
would knife an old lady for a jp-8000(well maybe not... I
think I'd reserve that for a minimoog)

I would love to get my hands on an old ARP-2600 !!! Those
mofo's are the sweetest programming tool ever... far better
than any computer... just messin.. it's a classic though,
you've got to give it that

jasta from TTU on 2001-09-19 04:17 [#00033981]

ooh yeah those are sweet. one of my teachers has one, though
it's not being used to do anything really cool. but at least
I will get to use it at some point... aah me and a 2600 what
fun... though I think it may not have any keys or anything
that produces cv, which would be a pity...
