Okay we're a little more than an hour away from what looks
to be an outstanding matchup. Anyone got any predictions?

My bet:

Tampa Bay 31
Oakland 28

I predict that 99.9% of people outside the US won't give a
damn.

i predict i'll watch it cause there's nothing else on on
sunday night even though i havent seen any american football
since this time last year. i used to really enjoy it aswell
when i was a lot younger. i even folowed the miami dolphins
cause i liked their kit (better reason than most). they were
quite good then, i don't think they're very good anymore.

wasn't trying to rain on your parade, but really, it's like
4-5 hours of my life that I don't need bombarded with
commercialism and pop-stars

btw: when people ask about the commericals tommorow at
school, and can just say: didn't watch, and that ends most
of the mindless conversations.

No you didn't rain on my parade. It's just a nice
opportunity to gather with friends, drink some beers and
mute Shania Twain at halftime.

Just a nice way to spend a few hours I guess. (and b/c I'm
in Canada - I don't see the US commercials)

Anyhoo - back to homework.

shania twain at half time? i'm definately watching it now

you should watch it on english channel 4 then when you get
ads we get commentary and interviews - some ads but not as
many as you :)

Not a fan of sports really but Superbowl has funny
comercials. I see everyone talking about the Raiders so i'm
guessing they're gonna win?

tampa bay has more than one obvious advantage over oakland
... not only do they have a defense that shut down
Philiadelphia IN Philiadelphia, but they're offense is
really being overlooked in this matchup (all the focus is on
Oakland's wide receivers). finally, and probably most
importantly, up until last year john gruden (tampa's head
coach) was Oakland's coach. He knows this team much better
than any other coach would. .. also although Oakland has a
great offense they're also a much older offense.. that can't
be counted out.

tampa bay 35
oakland 24

the Super Bowl !! (?) I'm gonna not watch, and instead watch
corporate America crumble as a result of my indifference
