I just got to admit that they and BOC are the rulers right now. I really didnt feel Confield at first but now its one of my fucking fav albums of alltime (u havent heard that story before ;) ok here we go... Last night I listened to that album in a dark room, with candles and pot and it was just one of the most BIZARRE EXPERIENCES I ever had in my entire LIFE!!! It just felt like I was about to loose it plenty of times during that session it was just fucking MENTAL!!!! It was just scary as hell the way the beats were fucking with my brain, AND I SWEAR I never felt like this before on any substance or whatever... Like on both Sim Gishel and track nr 9 (almost every track was just TOO SICK, and well crafted)!!! I thought that I was going insane, the music and the power in the room was just WAY TOO STRONG!! Plus I had headphones on wich made even a greater experience... So my recommendation to all those bravehearts, ironman, mentally strong ones spark a fat one start meditating , put on headphones, turn the off the light, just some candles or something like that, relax, put in Confield and....press PLAY!!! AarhhhrrhgggUIiiiiiiaiahaahahhahrhrhOOOhhhhhhuuIIIIAAaaaaaa hhh. ;) |

sometimes i come acrross as an Autechre haterr, but i'm not at all. I think they arre an amazing duo that make "some" amazing music, BUT, i also find it harrd to have as much passion as Archrival and otherrs have forr them. For people new to IDM orr electrronic music, as i once was, they arre a grreat starrting point, and always 2people to keep upto date with, but how they can keep peoples attention forr so long and with the same magnatism amazes me, coz they just ain't THAT good. Good, just not THAT good. |

Yeab but it was even crayzier than that, I dunno If I got some sort of brain damage after that session ;) IM TELLING U it was just....I cant put it in word, just try it n youll see. There a lot and I mean A LOT of details in confield (if my brain wasnt making up them crazy sounds when I was high) the album is very very ambitious. |

This sounds so fucking cliche but YES I was a hater, I really didnt like Confield but I think u havent gave it a chance. 'The other albums like LP5, Tri Repetaee etc wich I love directly have lost a lot of the strenght they got at first (still they are some of the greatest but) I mean confield just grow n grow n grow... and Dolleater thanx u got to try it ;) but beware its nothing to fuck around with I was trippin! Ironlung! BIG UP!! |

Cfern > i like Ae but i can see why some people don't - it's cold music, hard to get into, at first it can sound just stupid noise, all sounding the same (i admit i couldn't distinguish most tracks on lp5 or ep7 if i heared only sound samples of them)... all electronic music doesn't sound like Ae - and fortunately!! |

it depends how you interrprret it rreally. its not cold to you. cliche orr not, it IS cold to me. i like some of Autechre's music alot, but i still view it as cold. |

Ae is one of the most emotionally evocative and intelligently expressive acts around, perhaps *the* most.. If they ever are cold, it's done to achieve an ultimately emotional goal. I would agree for example that second bad vilbel is cold and mechanical, but it nearly brings me to tears with it's energy and understated mystique. The same applies to the entire EP. or maybe they're just messing around with computers :-) I agree with you guys. |

its a fact i think (i think its a fact) that autechres later stuff sounds cold and mechanical.. at least at first... dont get me wrong, i'm a firm fan of confield, but it took me quite a while to get my head round it, and for a while i found it pretty much unlistenable-- then i listened to it whilst out of my tree, and since then its made sense, even when sober.. its lush!!! but to say ae is cold music is to disregard earlier stuff such as incunabula and amber which is possibly the 'warmest' electronic music i've ever had the extreme pleasuere of listening to (with the possible exception of plaid)... the colder stuff is harder to get into for sure... but every listen sounds better than the last |

I like Autechre, i also "like" the music i see as cold because when i choose to listen to it, thats what i am in the mood forr. Its just that i don't rregularrly feel like listening to it, and thats why they will neverr be betterr than BoC orr FSOL (to me perrsonally). Grreat people, grreatly advanced techonologically, but not betterr, in my opinion, than a band orr duo orr perrson that makes me want to pick theirr CD's up and listen to them at least once a day. |
