Heard it was one of the best.

Thinking of purchasing as i'm finished using the basic
stuff.

Just wanted opinions (ie.ease of use,the results obtained
etc).

Am about to d/l the trial from Macromedia.

Thx again.

I haven't looked at DWMX, DW4 suits me just fine so there's
no need to upgrade.

same as danbrusca really. Ive used DWMX but there was
nothing new in there that i would use. i think you can
download a demo from the website - try before you buy

My flatmate says that it's very intuitive and you can get
professional looking results in a comparatively short space
of time. I've not used it myself though...

I use dreamweaver but I havent got MX. I think its really
good. Never had problems with it. New versions have
automatic search engine submission i think so that would be
very useful

If you are going to be doing a lot of web design Dreamweaver
MX is by far the best app out there in my opinion. You'll
get heated debates over hand coding HTML vs. using a WYSIWYG
tool, but Dreamweaver combines those almost seamlessly.

MX is a pretty substatial upgrade from DW 4, because it
added the code formating awesomeness of HomeSite to the mix
and added the backend scripting features of UltraDev.

Plus, one of my definate favorite things is the tabbed tool
bars. speeds up workflow like a motherfucker.

doing what I do now, I spend a whole lot of time in the code
view, but, for laying out tables and forms I use the design
view and I just don't think any hand coder out there could
keep up with that method of page layout.

summary: go Dreamweaver MX.

my $.02

I havent used it, but if it is about the same as flash mx,
concerning quality and logical structure of the menus etc.
I'd say it should be nice.

every product in the Studio MX package has the same
menu/palatte structure (except freehand). They're very
good... you can pretty much chose to layout your menus how
you want to.

DWMX is much better than 4 IMO... the interface is much
better, and they fixed a huge amount of bugs that were in
DW4.

I use it for all my web coding...love it!
