Poll: Seinfeld vs. Friends

i saw seinfeld only one time, but i laughted more than in
the best friend's episode i saw.
a crazy story, with mashed potatoes and werewolves ,
incredible.

I've seen way more Friends episodes than Seinfeld, although
Friends is just moronic 90% of the time, it occasionally
makes me laugh. Seinfeld bugs me because of the music, and
the fact that Seinfeld acts so unconvincingly that it's
painful.

Seinfeld for sure gets my vote.

Fuck Friends, it's a worthless pile of puke aimed at
20-something yuppies with nothing better to do in their
empty, meaningless life than watch TV about beautiful people
who just so happen to wind up in a "quirky" adventure each
episode

liar! liar! Pants on fire! :-p

The REAL amount of votes (so far) is:

Friends - 7
Seinfeld - 16

(altough i must confess i counted deltoid's reply "the
moops" as a vote for seinfeld... maybe technically it
doesn't count, but it's a seinfeld-joke :-p As good as a
vote in my book)
Seinfeld is still winning this poll by far ;-)

This calls for some seinfeld-quotes!

Jerry: "Kramer, these balloons aren't going to stay
filled 'til New Year's."

Kramer: "Those aren't for New Year's. Those are my
everyday balloons."

Kramer: "I come up with these things, I know they're gold
but nothing happens. You know why?"

Jerry: "No resources, no skill, no talent, no ability, no
brains, no..."

Kramer: "No, no time! It's all these menial tasks.
Laundry, grocery shopping, coming in here and talking to
you. You have any idea how much time I waste in this
apartment?"

Jerry: "I could ballpark it."

Dean Jones: "I've been reviewing Darren's internship
journal. Doing laundry, mending chicken wire, high tea with
a Mr. Newman?"

Kramer: "Well, it all sounds pretty glamourous, but it's
business as usual at Kramerica."

Dean Jones: "Far as I can tell, your entire enterprise is
little more than a solitary man with a messy apartment which
may or may not contain a chicken."

So including his, that gives us a score of:

Friends - 7
Seinfeld - 17

seinfeld may be the best TV series ever made. so...
The Sein gets my vote.

hehe, i remember that one! Kramer's phonenumber was "filck"
i think, and alot of people dialed it by accident when
wanting to reach "flick". Great stuff ;-)

I tried to find the original quote, but i couldn't. So
here's one about Kramer's faxmachine:

Kramer: "Are you sure you don't have one, because there's
a lot of stuff in my apartment I've never seen.
"
Elaine: "Then maybe you have a fax machine."
Kramer: "You just blew my mind!"

Also, these new posts lead the score to:

Friends: 8
Seinfeld: 47
(because dolleater voted 27 times)

But i don't know why i'm counting these... this is morton's
thread after all. Get over here you lazy bastard, and count
for yourself!

kramer: "hello and welcome to movie phone. enter the first
three letters of the movie you want to see."
pause
kramer: "why don't you just tell me the name of the movie
you want to see."

hehe ;-)

Yeah it was something like that, but the actual scene lasted
longer. Kramer also suggested movies... like... ehr...

"enter the first three letters of the movie you want to
see.
"
(jerry enters first three letters)
"Sack Lunch, is this the movie you wanted to see? If it's
not, press 1
"

And they go on for a little while until kramer eventually
indeed says:

"why don't you just tell me the name of the movie you
want to see.
"

But it's always better when you find the actual script for
quotes... so many little details you don't remember :-)

True indeed :-p
Lol that episode was so great... especially the outburst in
the theater when elaine admits she hates the movie and gets
fired by mr. peterman ;-)

It doesn't really exist that movie does it? I think it was
purely invented for the seinfeld-episode. Same with
"Rochelle Rochelle".

It's also the episode with Izzy in it! The old man who
challenges jerry to a weightlifting-competition ;-)...
"it's go time!"

Good to see this thread is still alive :-p

friends - 9
seinfeld 49

I love Jewish comedy. It's so wacky and zany but at the same
time it makes you think. Full of pathos and magic.

yeah sure, i don't hate friends either... my brother watches
it all the time, and sometimes i sit there and watch it
too... and it makes me laugh. It's just nowhere near as
clever or ingenious as seinfeld imo.

But you need to single out one of them bill ;-) (if you want
to vote)

I can't choose. Please don't make me choose. I love both
programs so much that to chose one over the other would
break my heart. Let's call it a draw. Why has there always
got to be a winner? It can be just as much fun taking part.
There's no I in Team is there? They're both great.
